Will Smith and son Jaden Smith visited the Ellen Show to talk new film, ‘After Earth’, but it was recent rumors the 14 year old wanted to be emancipated by his 15th birthday that has had everyone talking.

On the rumors, it was Jaden who answered, “See here’s the thing I want to explain, I’m not going anywhere.”

“The thing that people don’t get is that everything at his house [points to his dad] is free,” he continued jokingly.

“So, I’m going to get any and everything at his house for free. I’m going to be there for 20 or 30 more years.”

By his 15th birthday, Jaden Smith wants mom Jada Pinkett Smith and dad Will Smith to legally emancipated him. That’s so according to a recent report from The Sun.

The media outlet reports the statement came directly from musician and actor Will Smith.

Will told The Sun, “[Jaden] says, ‘Dad, I want to be emancipated.’ I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ooh … That’s the backlash. On the other side, if kids just want to have command of their lives, I understand.”

We’re not sure if the Smiths are seriously considering their son’s request but do you think this is a good idea? A child having total control of their lives, career, finances at just 15 years old?

Jada Pinkett Smith Clears Up “Open Relationship” Rumors With Will!

We’re not sure why Jada Pinkett Smith feels the need to keep beating this topic with a dead horse but she’s, once again, addressing rumors she and husband, Will Smith has an open relationship.

Earlier in the month, when asked about those rumors she stated, “Will can do whatever he wants.” Instead of simply answering, ‘No’ to the allegations, Jada gave fans the idea that the rumors could be true and, perhaps, she has even given her husband permission to cheat if he dared.

Jada is now trying to clear up her earlier comments. Here’s what she stated recently.

“Let me first say this, there are far more important things to talk about in regards to what is happening in the world than whether I have an open marriage or not. I am addressing this issue because a very important subject has been born from discussions about my statement that may be worthy of addressing.
