Tia Mowry Lands New Show, Instant Mom, For NickMom Network!

Since leaving hit television series, ‘The Game’, many of us have been wondering what Tia Mowry has been up to. Although she’s been busy being a mom to son Cree and filming reality show, ‘Tia & Tamera’, with twin sister Tamera Mowry, she will finally be making a return to television. Mowry shot a pilot for a new sitcom, ‘Instant Mom’, last December and she was happy to share the exciting news with her fans that the show had been picked up by Nick Jr’s “Nick Mom” network.

On her official blog the actress writes, “I recorded a video for you guys on the set of the pilot for Instant Mom, a new show I was filming.  Well guess what – the show got picked up!!! It’s going to be on NickMom and Nick at Nite.  The show is about a young party girl (me! hehe) who trades in her cosmos for carpools when I marry an older man who has three kids.  The pilot was so fun to film and I couldn’t be more excited for you all to see it.  I can’t wait to get back to the studio and start filming the rest of the season! Sooo excited to be on TV again, yay!!”

Tia & Tamera Grace the Cover of Essence Magazine April Edition

Looking absolutely beautiful, they discuss motherhood and growing up. Tia says, “I feel sexier now, as a mother, than I ever have in my life. I’m more in tune with my body. I don’t take any crap anymore either.” Tamera also discusses her thoughts on motherhood, “I’ve always wanted to be a mother. I’m a nurturer, a girly girl. I know my priorities: God, family and work. When those things are in check, the work will flow.”  They also discuss their reality show. “We didn’t want to do a reality show if we couldn’t be real — if I couldn’t be myself,” Tia explains. “There is no ‘evil twin syndrome,’ though we do have evil moments.” Check out the rest of the article in Essence Magazine.

Tia Mowry is responding to some negative comments today made by critics who called her 1 year old son, Cree Taylor Hardrict, ugly.

During an appearance on Live From E! earlier today the 34 year old mom says,

“I really don’t understand why people feel the need to belittle a child, someone who doesn’t even have a voice yet to express themselves,” said Mowry. “I just think it’s disgusting—disgusting that we live in a society that focuses on looks.”

Baby Cree, born June 28, 2011, is the first for Tia and her actor husband, Cory Hardrict. He’s also their little miracle baby. During the time of her pregnancy, Tia expressed through various media outlets the difficulty of getting pregnant because she suffered from endometriosis — a medical disorder in which from the lining of the uterus grow outside the uterine wall.

I have to agree with Tia. What would make anyone think it’s funny to criticize and ridicule a baby! Sad.

I loved just putting all my thoughts together and jotting them down and basically doing research and all that kind of stuff, and I always wanted to write books. You know how you always had a vision? Well writing a book was always my vision, I just didn’t know what kind of book I was going to write.

Game over! Pooch Hall will not be returning to ‘The Game’.

Days after Tia Mowry‘s own announcement she wouldn’t be returning to BET’s  hit show ‘The Game’, the network has released their own statement, and this time it involves actor Pooch Hall. The statement reads,

After five seasons on The Game, Pooch Hall and Tia Mowry will not return as regular cast members on season six on BET Networks.

As a result of Pooch’s involvement on a new project, BET is in the process of reworking the casting and storyline of the show. That said, we hope both Pooch and Tia will make several guest appearances.

While we will miss the incredible adventures of Melanie and Derwin on The Game, we appreciate all of their hard work, the laughs and wish them both the best on their future endeavors.

Season six will continue to feature the amazing Wendy Raquel Robinson, Coby Bell, Hosea Chanchez, Brandy Norwood and of course, Barry A. Floyd.

Tamera Mowry is Pregnant!

Tamera Mowry, 33, is expecting her first child with husband Adam Housely, 40!

The actress tells PEOPLE, “Adam and I are excited about having a baby and the blessing that he or she will bring to our lives and to our family and friends. We can’t wait to meet this little miracle!”

The news comes only 11 months after their wedding last May. Initially, the newly weds had planned to hold off on having kids but changed their minds after a trip to South Africa.

“It’s just so beautiful there and you get a whole new perspective on life, the things that really matter,” Mowry-Housley explains to PEOPLE. “Adam and I looked at each other and said, ‘Why wait?’”

On how she’s been coping Tamera says, “The first trimester was a little rough. I was extremely fatigued and had morning sickness — more like evening sickness. Luckily, it has subsided in my second trimester. I feel great as of now — more like myself.”

As for the reaction of twin sister, Tia — who welcomed son Cree just 10 months ago — well, it didn’t come much as a surprise. Perhaps her twin intuition was in full swing.
