This picture was seen online a few days ago and people are going crazy. Willow Smith, daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, is known for her eccentric style. Whether she is rocking different color hair, a shaved head, or 8in shoes, Willow has never been “normal” when it comes to fashion. But this recent photo has people throwing outrageous insults and accusations. Many have accused her of being depressed and a devil worshiper. Really?
Jada Pinkett Smith is tired of all the negative talk about her marriage and the way she raises her children. The Smiths have been accused of being swingers and on the verge of divorce just about every few months. They’ve even faced criticism over being too hands-off with daughter Willow Smith and the way she chooses to express herself with her fashion choices and shaving and coloring her hair. Here’s what Jada posted via her official Facebook page.
I am on a tremendous journey of great change in every area of my life and I see how change can be scary. For instance, how Will and I raise our family is a tremendous change from the norm. It can be scary for some folks but it should never THREATEN how anyone else chooses to raise their own children or how they choose to live their lives.
We all have the freedom to CHOOSE to live how we want.

Yesterday the media went in a frenzy when 11 year old Willow Smith posted a photo on Instagram with what appeared to be a pierced tongue. Smith was joined by a friend who also had a piercing below the lip.
It’s no secret the youngest and only daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been allowed much freedom in the way she expresses herself. From her shaved head and the numerous color changes as of late to some of her eccentric fashion choices.

Eleven year old Willow Smith has gone bald! Although she’s wanted to do so since she was 9 her mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, refused to let her take all her hair off. She’d been rocking a long fringe with the sides shaved for a while but Willow finally got her way. All gone!
Willow also released this photo with the caption “Dance your feelings out….”
Although there seems to be some controversy over letting an 11 year old shave all her hair off, I commend her confidence and individuality. Many women, especially in the African American community, spend hundreds and thousands of dollars a year on their hair because their identity is warped in how the style their hair, whether its theirs or not.
Besides, it’s hair and it will grow back. So, what’s the hang up? Is it because she’s 11 or because she’s gone bald, ore even both? Would love to hear your thoughts!

With her typically pop infused singles it’s pretty difficult to really hear the young star’s vocal ability and I have to say I was actually very impressed. A very short clip but one worth seeing.
