During a recent interview while promoting new album, ‘Braveheart,’ Ashanti was asked whether there had ever been rivalry between herself and Beyonce, considering the two ladies started their solo careers at the same time.
Although Bey had already attained success with ‘Destiny’s Child,’ in the early 2000′s, Ashanti was the leading lady in the Hip Hop and R&B world. In fact, she was doing better than Bey at the time.
“Everyone wants to be the best right? Who doesn’t? It’s a competitive business, but I was rooting for her,” Ashanti recalled. “I just think we did two different types of music. It was a friendly competition, from my end.”
The wait is over! Mariah Carey has finally debuted the official visual for new single, “You’re Mine (Eternal).”
The visual didn’t actually take long to make its debut, it was only hours before that the songstress had unveiled the single before doing press, Wednesday morning.
The new single is the lead off the singer’s upcoming and fourteenth studio album, “The Art of Letting Go.”

As some of you may know, Kelis took some time away from music to pursue a culinary degree. Telling from some of the images she’s shared with fans on her official Instagram page, we’re guessing she may even be a very good cook. But, the singer is now returning to her musical roots with the pending release of a new album, appropriately titled, ‘Food.’ In fact, the singer has already released her new single, “Jerk Ribs,” from the project, unveiling the above album artwork.
Of the album, the singer recently dished to Hip Hollywood,
“My new album is called Food. It comes out April 22nd. Dave Sitek produced it. It’s full band. It’s got horn sections and strings and orchestra. It’s very dramatic. And I’m really excited about it. I don’t rush to put albums out. I kinda like to wallow in them for a bit. So it’s one of those!”
It didn’t take long for the girls of ‘Danity Kane’ to get right back on track since announced their reunion (See HERE). In fact, the ladies have even released some new music. The mid-tempo single is titled, “Bye Baby.”
The single has Dawn Richard’s name written allover it. Richard is not only one of the lead vocals of the group she’s penned a number of singles for the group as well as during her own solo career. We think the single is not only catchy, a Danity Kane signature, but it’s actually really good.
