Early Tuesday morning, Chris Brownreleased his 5-track mixtape the “X-Files”. The R&B and Hip Hop infuse mixtape is actually pretty good detailing the singer’s desire to make things right with his love. Whether art reflecting life or life reflecting art, it seems, much like the singer’s own love life well documented in the media between on-again girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, and ex Rihanna. Or, perhaps, none of the above but heartfelt nonetheless.

Of the new single Carey stated, “This is such a personal record to me. I wrote the lyrics so that anyone and everyone could relate to them and hopefully release anything that they need to let go of that’s holding them back or bringing them down. Thank you for sharing this experience with me!”
