Singer August Alsina recently caught up with Rap-Up revealing his current feud with fellow R&B crooner Trey Songz.
Although he and Trey along with singer Chris Brown collaborated on his “I Luv This Sh*t” remix, the two just aren’t seeing eye to eye right now. The news is a bit surprising considering the two seemed to be cool just a few weeks ago when Trey released his new single, “Nana.” Alsina had been sharing the single with fans in Trey’s support. So what exactly happened? Here’s what the New Orleans native and singer had to say during his interview.
On his current relationship with Trey Songz:
I don’t really f**k with Trey right now. We don’t get along right now. We ain’t on the same page. He did some other sh*t and we just don’t rock.
During a recent interview while promoting new album, ‘Braveheart,’ Ashanti was asked whether there had ever been rivalry between herself and Beyonce, considering the two ladies started their solo careers at the same time.
Although Bey had already attained success with ‘Destiny’s Child,’ in the early 2000′s, Ashanti was the leading lady in the Hip Hop and R&B world. In fact, she was doing better than Bey at the time.
“Everyone wants to be the best right? Who doesn’t? It’s a competitive business, but I was rooting for her,” Ashanti recalled. “I just think we did two different types of music. It was a friendly competition, from my end.”
Do you all remember back in November when Joe Jonas dished all about his life as a “Jonas Brother”? The big reveal came not long after the announcement the brothers had decided to go their separate ways.
In Joe Jonas’ letter to New York Magazine, he dished all about his escapades as a young Hollywood bachelor, the pressure to be “perfect” in the eye of Disney and his family. In that same interview, he also revealed that it was former Disney stars, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, who pressured him into trying pot for the first time.
Well, Miley Cyrus is addressing those claims for the first time. In her recent interview with New York Times, cyrus says, “If you want to smoke weed, you’re going to smoke weed. There’s nothing that two little girls are going to get you to do that you don’t want to do. I thought maybe he was saying that like it was going to make him look badass.”
Did Rihanna really steal the signature look of an up and coming artist? That’s true according to the rapper and reaggae artist’s former manager.
While the pop star received an Icon Award at Sunday’s American Music Awards rocking doobie wrap, it seems, she was also drumming up a bit of controversy.
In the statement, the unnamed manager wrote, “I am writing to express my extreme frustration and anger over the blatant theft of an image that my former artist and I cultivated…The image that we were trying to run with [was] what Patwa knew from the streets, which was the doobie wrap. She wore it proudly with pinned jeweled pins to signify she was a Queen and this was her ghetto crown.”
After Mo’Nique‘s amazing 85 lbs weight loss recently, rumors emerged that Star Jones made some not so nice comments about the comedian and actress and just how she feels Mo’Nique really lost weight. According to those claims, Jones insinuated Mo may have gone under the knife like she did years ago in order to lose the pounds.
Well, not so fast. Star Jones would like to debunk those rumors and she’s mad as hell too. The television personality recently tweeted, “Whoever this #StrawberryBlunt is a DAMN LIAR. I have NEVER said anything as foul as this BS story about my DEAR FRIEND Mo’Nique.”

The one time BFF’s may not be anymore. Arsenio Hall and Eddie Murphy just aren’t that cool. Arsenio recently let the ball drop that he and Eddie are no longer all that close.
But what could these two be arguing about? Apparently, Eddie wasn’t too fond of the idea of appearing on Arsenio’s new talk sho, yet to make its debut.

Kelly Clarkson ain’t here for Clive Davis telling lies on her. Since reveal he is a bisexual man in new book, “The Soundtrack of My Life”, Clive Davis has been busy throwing everybody under a rug.
He accuses Michael Jackson of sabotaging brother Jermaine Jackson‘s career and says Kelly Clarkson for crying hysterically in his office during a dispute over her music.
Well, Kelly didn’t take the jab all too lightly. Clarkson released the below message via Twitter. She writes…
So I just heard Clive Davis is releasing a memoir and spreading false information about me and my music. I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans. It feels like a violation. Growing up is awesome because you learn you don’t have to cower to anyone – even Clive Davis.
Drake just lost another round. With Chris Brown that is. First it was Rihanna and now he’s can’t even get in to Playhouse nightclub. All because of Chris Brown that is.
Drake was denied access to the popular LA night because Chris Brown was already there. If you all remember Drake and Breezy’s bottle throwing fiasco in New York City’s WIP nightclub back in June, the promoters at Playhouse refused to take any chances.
According to TattleTailzz.com, “Drake and his crew was trying to get their party on and got “STRAIGHT” denied from entering into Playhouse nightclub. Sources say he was basically begging to get in, offering to spend more than Chris Brown. Drake and his crew made several attempts for about 30 minutes before finally leaving the night club.”
Really Drake, begging?

While the rest of us were watching Beyonce‘s incredible Superbowl halftime performance where she reunited with Destiny’s Child band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, Keyshia Cole was too busy throwing shade.
Here’s what Mrs. Cole tweeted
Ouch! That was cold.
We’re not sure what prompted Frank Ocean to have a change of heart but the singer is not planning of pressing any charges against Chris Brown after their parking lot fight on January 28th. Although Chris was noted as the aggressor in the incident reports suggest Frank had started the altercation over a parking spot outside an LA recording studio.
On his official Tumblr Ocean writes…
“As a child i thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. but as a man i am not a killer. i’m an artist and a modern person. i’ll choose sanity. no criminal charges. no civil lawsuit. forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. peace, albeit trite, is what i want in my short life. peace. “
Frank Ocean wants to file charges against Chris Brown following their fight in a parking lot outside a LA recording studio. Can this get more lame?
As we reported on Monday, the two singers got involved in a brawl over a parking space and now Ocean is looking into pressing charges. Although reports suggest he started the whole ordeal, Brown fled the scene before cops arrived and Ocean is claiming he was attacked and cut his finger.
He even tweeted, “”got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest [his dog] was there…cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys.”
Following the incident.
The dilemma? Chris Brown is still on probation stemming from his 2009 assault on girlfriend Rihanna. If Ocean follows through with the charges and he’s convicted Brown may actually go to jail.
