Chris Kelly Laid To Rest, Bandmate & Friend Chris Smith Speaks At Funeral (Video)

‘Kris Kross’ rapper Chris Kelly was laid to rest Thursday afternoon. His band mate and close friend Chris Smith spoke dearly of him and his memory during his funeral. Although very tearful and visibly shaken Smith speaks on the last time they performed together and the genuine friend Kelly has been to him.

Tearfully he says, “This has been like a struggle for me everyday but this morning when I woke up this peace came over me because I know chris is in heaven….”

Kelly passed away last week at the age of 34 for what is suspected to be the lethal combination of heroin and cocaine. Kelly’s mother reveals her son has battled drug abusive on and off for a number o f years. We hope he rest in peace.

One half of 90′s rap duo, Kris Kross, Chris Kelly passed away Wednesday night at an Atlanta hospital.

Although his death is currently being investigated, it’s believed he died from an apparent drug overdose.

“It appears it may have been a possible drug overdose,” said Cpl. Kay Lester, a spokeswoman for the Fulton County police.

According to Lester, police were called to Kelly’s home at around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was transported to the south campus of the Atlanta Medical Center.

He was later pronounced dead at approximately 5pm.

No official cause of death has been announced, however. An announcement will likely be made following an autopsy.

Following the tragic death of MTV ‘Buckwild’ reality star Shain Gandee, eight days ago, the network has decided to cancel the show.

As reported, after going missing for nearly 48 hours, Gandee, his uncle and a friend were found dead in his truck on the side of the road in his West Virginia home town. Although it was not initially reported, it was later discovered that Shain and his party died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.

MTV_Buckwild_Shain_Gandee_21_DeadThe news media was shocked to learn, this morning, that a young MTV reality star, Shain Gandee had died. The 21 year old had been gone since Saturday night and reported missing by family members.

TMZ  reports, “Gandee was found dead in a vehicle in West Virginia early Monday morning…. 31 hours after the 21-year-old MTV reality star had been reported missing, this according to law enforcement.”

Gandee along with the body of his 48-year-old uncle, David Gandee, and a third unidentified body were all discovered in the vehicle in Sissonville, West Virginia. There was no sign of foul play, reports officials.

‘A Different World’ Actor Lou Myers Passes Away At 77

It saddens us to have to report that one of our favorite television personalities have passed on. Lou Myers, best known for his role of “Mr. Gaines” from the 80′s hit sitcom “A Different World”, died Tuesday night in West Virginia hospital.

Tonya McDonald, a spokesperson from Myers’ nonprofit organization Global Business Incubation Inc. confirmed with the Associated Press that the 77-year-old actor died Tuesday at Charleston Area Medical Center in West Virginia. Though no cause of death was given, he had been in and out of the hospital since Christmas and had recently collapsed. An autopsy is planned.

Lou, who served in the military before his acting career, will receive a military burial in West Virginia. He is survived by his son and his 95-year-old mother.

May he rest in peace.

Sad news today! Conrad Bain, 89, the dad who played Phillip Drummond on 80′s sitcom ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ has died.

The actor played a successful businessman who adopted two African American brothers, played by the late Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges (seen in above photo).

His daughter, Jennifer Bain, confirmed his death to PEOPLE and says her father passed away of natural causes.

In some very sad news this morning, Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera, 43, is presumed dead after a plane crash in northern Mexico.

The singer rose to fame following her break out from Spanish television reality programs. Her outright personality even had U.S. Latinas intrigued enough for ABC to be in development to create her very own show titled , “Jenni.”

Rivera was a three time divorced mother of five. Of her mother her eldest daughter, Chiquis, says her mom was “down to earth” during an interview back in July.

“What you see on television is real, but she’s not one of those stars who forgets her family. She knows what it was like to struggle, so she’s always been there for us,” she added.

We were all in shock when actor Michael Clarke Duncan passed away last month, from complications stemming from a heart attack earlier in the year.
