Dancehall artist, Vybz Kartel may be preparing to spend the rest of his life in prison. The musician was just found guilty of murder — leaving the dance-hall world in disbelief.
Kartel, real name Adidja Azim Palmer, along with three other defendants were convicted and found guilty of killing a fellow associate, Clive “Lizard” Williams, in 2011.
The murder is said to have been acted out following a disagreement over a missing gun. A fourth defendant has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
On Thursday, Jamaican police in riot gear guarded streets outside, and parts of the capital Kingston were cordoned off in advance of the verdict to prevent any disruption by fans of the entertainer. However, shortly before the jury started to deliberate in the afternoon, about 200 people briefly broke through barricades at one intersection shouting “Free Kartel!”
Another day another run in with the law for Justin Bieber. The pop star was arrested in Miami, Thursday morning, for suspicion of DUI, drag racing and resisting arrest.
Reports this morning suggest that the singer was not only suspected of driving under the influence, drag racing and belligerent during the entire process, he was also driving on an expired license.
Law enforcement tells TMZ, upon approaching Bieber’s car they believe he had been drinking and on drugs.
“…cops approached Bieber’s car and the instantly realized he reeked of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes. He had a “stupor” look on his face. The police report says … Bieber was defiant from the get go, yelling at the cops, “Why the f**k are you doing this? He also yelled, “What the f**k did I do. Jeezy said he never assaulted, imprisoned or made any terroristic threats to his son as previously reported. Although he admits he and his teen son did have an argument in September 2012, he said things did not get violent. He did, however, admit to shoving Jaradius around when he advised him he could no longer live at his residence for his unruly behavior.
The rapper and his 17-year-old son Jadarius did indeed get into a nuclear argument in Sept., 2012, but it never turned really violent. We’re told it started when Jeezy told the teenager he had turned into a punk kid with an attitude and he didn’t want the kid staying at his house.
Chrissy Lampkin is still beating chicks down. If you all remember the beat down she gave Kimbella on an episode of “Love And Hip Hop” a few years back, then you wouldn’t be surprised to know nothing much has changed.
Lampkin was arrested, over the weekend, for beating up a woman during a bar fight in Edgewater, NJ.
The “Chrissy & Mr. Jones” reality star was arrested around 2:30 AM, Sunday morning, for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
On Wednesday we were all shocked to learn that former reality star and ex-wife to rapperLil’ Wayne, Toya Wright, had been arrested in Georgia earlier in the week. At the time of the breaking news story, no one knew exactly why Wright, now married to A&R executive and producer Mickey “Memphitz” Wright, had been arrested. Toya would now like to address the reason for her arrest and put all the speculation to rest.
Wednesday night, Wright took to social sharing site, Instagram, unveiling a mugshot of her arrest (shown above) with this message,”Wow!!! It’s true I was jailed due to a old ticket that I thought I had taken care of but it was not. I try my best to take care of that sort of thing quickly but some how the ticket slipped through the cracks.”
Lil’ Wayne‘s ex-wife and former reality star, Toya Wright, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 10th, in Georgia.
As for the reason of Wright’s arrest? Failure to appear in court.
TMZ.com reports, “The details surrounding the arrest are sketchy at best — with one law enforcement official telling us Wright was pulled over in College Park, GA yesterday … and during the stop, the cop noticed a warrant out for her arrest.
Miguel was arrested Thursday morning for driving under the influence in California. The 27 year old “Adorned” singer was pulled over by a California Highway Patrol officer for speeding in his 2013 BMW X6 and tinted windows. When officers suspected he was intoxicated he was then given a breathalyzer test.
According to TMZ, after blowing a .10 and .11, over the .08 legal limit in California, he was then taken to a nearby station.
He has since been released on a $5000 bail and is scheduled to make an appearance in court in September.
After getting arrested just days ago, DMX has just filed for bankruptcy.
According his rep, Domenik Nati, the troubled rapper is forced to file bankruptcy because of the financial mismanagement of funds by his previous representatives.

Earlier today we reported that husband to singer Keyshia Cole and NBA player Daniel Gibson turned himself over to New Orleans police on an assault and battery charge. The incident occurred a few weeks back during the 2013 Essence Music Festival where his wife performed.
Gibson has now released a statement to news site, TMZ , to clarify what actually happened and why.
He tells the news site, “Keyshia was performing at the event … when some guy approached her and spouted off some very “disrespectful” comments… an altercation broke out and “safety was threatened” … so [I] “needed to take action.”
2 Chainz is certainly not having the best week. After getting robbed at gun point, earlier in the week, according to reports by TMZ, the rapper was arrested earlier today at LAX airport for marijuana possession.
