Although the rapper was charged with assault for the incident that occurred back in June, he will not be serving any jail time.
Miguel was arrested Thursday morning for driving under the influence in California. The 27 year old “Adorned” singer was pulled over by a California Highway Patrol officer for speeding in his 2013 BMW X6 and tinted windows. When officers suspected he was intoxicated he was then given a breathalyzer test.
According to TMZ, after blowing a .10 and .11, over the .08 legal limit in California, he was then taken to a nearby station.
He has since been released on a $5000 bail and is scheduled to make an appearance in court in September.
After getting arrested just days ago, DMX has just filed for bankruptcy.
According his rep, Domenik Nati, the troubled rapper is forced to file bankruptcy because of the financial mismanagement of funds by his previous representatives.
He states, “DMX’s financial strains have been inhibiting his career for several years. Poor financial management by prior representation have caused him to be ineligible to retain a passport. _______READMORE
Earlier today we reported that husband to singer Keyshia Cole and NBA player Daniel Gibson turned himself over to New Orleans police on an assault and battery charge. The incident occurred a few weeks back during the 2013 Essence Music Festival where his wife performed.
Gibson has now released a statement to news site, TMZ , to clarify what actually happened and why.
He tells the news site, “Keyshia was performing at the event … when some guy approached her and spouted off some very “disrespectful” comments… an altercation broke out and “safety was threatened” … so [I] “needed to take action.”
A building supervisor called police after spotting Amanda in the lobby with a joint. He also reports the actress was acting erratically and talking to herself.
Officials report that when cops arrived and knocked on Amanda’s door she did let them in. Unfortunately, things went south when she threw a bong outside her window after it was spotted by police.
She could be heard yelling, “Don’t you know who I am?”
If you haven’t already heard, Hot 97 DJ Mister Cee was, once again, arrested for soliciting a male prostitute over the weekend. Early Monday morning, the DJ of the popular New York City radio station took to the airwaves to address the arrest and claims he is gay.
Of questions regarding his sexuality Cee says, “I am not gay.”
“People have accused me of being gay for probably ten years now. I don’t care what people think.” he stated while on air with co-workers Peter Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds, Ebro, and K Foxx of the Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg morning show.
On his third arrest for soliciting a male prostitute Cee wanted to clear the air on what actually happened. He says, “I was approached by a female undercover cop.”
It seems Mister Cee can’t stay away from male prostitutes. The Hot 97 deejay was arrested, again, late Friday night for soliciting sex from a prostitute in Brooklyn.
Unfortunately for Mister Cee, real name Calvin LeBrun, the male prostitute he attempted to solicit sex from was an undercover police officer.
Back in 2011 the infamous deejay was arrested for doing much of the same. This time, only the details were released, much to our dismay. He had been trying to get fellatio (oral sex) from the male prostitute in a parked car.
Back in February, 2 Chainz was arrested for possession of a marijuana following a routine stop and search on his way to a concert at the University of Maryland.
Following his arrest, it was later discovered that the rapper’s bodyguard, Harold Folsome, Jr., was actually the person responsible for packing his luggage. At the time, a marijuana grinder and the drugs were found in 2 chainz’s possession. During the brief trial proceedings, Mr. Folsome admitted to packing the luggage but insisted he did not know who the items truly belonged. He stated he had been in a rush, at the time, and hadn’t been paying close attention to what he was placing into the bag.
Who would have expected America’s sweetheart, Reese Witherspoon, to be arrested? That’s just what happened this weekend in Atlanta, while in town to film a movie.
Witherspoon and her agent and husband, Jim Toth were arrested in Atlanta, GA Friday night when they were pulled over for driving in the wrong lane. Although it was actually Toth who had been driving, the actress was cited and arrested for disorderly conduct. Her husband was charged for driving under the influence (DUI).
“A state trooper observed that a car driven by Witherspoon’s husband, James Toth, was failing to stay in its lane,” and that “Witherspoon disobeyed multiple orders to stay in the car while he performed a field sobriety test on Toth. After she refused to return the car, she was handcuffed and arrested,” reports Variety.
Bobby Brown was not let off the hook this time. He has just gotten a 55 days sentence to an LA County jail for his drunk driving arrest back in October. Brown had been driving under the influence with a suspended license.
The singer was sentenced on Tuesday and also received four years of probation. Unfortunately Brown was already on probation following a previous drunk driving arrest.
He has also been ordered to attend and complete a treatment program for substance abuse for the next 18 months.
Get it together Bobby, please!
Well, wasn’t that the shortest retirement in history?! Katt Williams is back after announcing his retirement from stand up comedy days ago. The announcement from a teary eyed Williams was even captured on a live Seattle news station.
However, his management team has released this press release just yesterday. The statement, issued via TMZ, reads, “Katt is definitely NOT retiring. He will be moving forward with the tour … Friday is Texas, Saturday New Orleans, and on to Alabama.” It continues…
“The reason why he made remarks was due to him feeling totally disrespected by all the things that happen to him in the city of Seattle. He had a moment where he felt very unappreciated. He now just wants to move forward from those unfortunate events and give his fans outstanding shows from this point forward.”
