Mathew Knowles, 63, (Beyonce’s father and ex-manager) is certainly not doing as well as when he had Queen Bey on his team. Back in 2009, we learned that while Knowles was still married to Beyonce’s mother, Tina, he fathered a child and the couple soon separated. Then in 2011, Beyonce fired her father and his salary obviously went down drastically.
If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t yet seen and heard the new single and video from Beyonce, thank us now. The visual for “Partition” is a delightful mixture of sexy, sultry, and raunchy. And, in case you haven’t realized by now, Bey’s grown! Something she certainly reminds us of on the sexual record featuring her hubby and rapper Jay Z.
Check out the official video release for “Partition” and tell us what you think.
The numbers are in! Beyonce has just broken another record with her fifth studio and visual album, ‘Beyonce’. In just three days she’s sold over 828,000 worldwide in just three days.
Not only has the since sold a record breaking amount of album in a few days, but she’ll also debut #1 on Billboard 200. In fact, the album has debuted #1 in approximately 100 counties.
“I see music,” she says. “It’s more than just what I hear. When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.”
“I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it,” she adds. “I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.”
If you missed Saturday night’s HBO documentary, ‘Life Is But A Dream’, about super star Beyonce Knowles, shame on you. After a revealing sit down with Oprah on ‘Next chapter’, the singer has managed to get people to fall in love with her all over again. While she’s adored for the fierce entertainer she is she is even more respected following her documentary. The singer showed so much depth and humility while allowing the cameras to come into the most personal part of her life as a wife, mother and every day human being. Could it be, Beyonce is just like you and me at the end of the day?
We see Beyonce document her journey as a performer, she speaks on the painful break up with her dad as her manager, her pregnancy and even a sweet moment between her and husband Jay Z as they sing to each other during a romantic dinner. She talks being blessed and reveal thirteen months old Blue Ivy to the world for the first time. During this time, she also shares an intimate moment with her daughter as she cradles her and spend quality time with family.
Check out her interview and video below.
Beyonce recently sat down with Oprah on ‘Next Chapter’ to talk about the next phase in her life, as a wife, mother and business woman. The singer first discusses her overwhelming Super Bowl performance and her ‘Life Is But A Dream’ documentary, which aired last night as well. Check out her noteworthy quotes and the full interview below.
On sharing her miscarriage with the world
There’s so many couples that go through that and it’s one of the hardest things I’ve been through. It’s one of the reasons I didn’t tell people I was pregnant the second time around. You just don’t know.
On Jay-Z as a dad
Incredible. He’s a different human being. And it’s really beautiful to see a young man, such a great father. I’m so lucky.
Beyonce will sit down with Oprah to reveal a lot more about who she is behind the cameras. It seems, Bey’s been revealing a lot lately, doesn’t it? On Saturday’s episode of ‘Next Chapter’ the new mom will talk about her daughter Blue Ivy, her previous miscarriage and being married to Hip Hop mogul Jay Z. The singer will also discuss, for the first time, the current state of her relationship with her father. She announced he would no longer manage her career back in 2011. She recently revealed firing her father has ‘tarnished her soul’ in her feature story with Vogue magazine.
And the ladies seemed to have fun while catching up. “Did we have fun or what? #nextchapter sat 8pm,” tweeted Oprah along with the above photo. The episode airs Saturday at 8pm on OWN.
In more Beyonce news, the singer’s documentary “Life Is But A Dream” will also air this Saturday on HBO. In honor of the film debut she would like for all of you to share her dreams with her. _______READMORE
On Tuesday night Beyonce held her ‘Life Is But A Dream’ HBO documentary premiere at the Ziegfield theatre in New York City. Stars flocked to the event including Oprah herself. She was also joined by her husband, Jay Z, her sister Solange and mother Tina Knowles.
In the 90 minute documentary, directed and co-produced by Knowles, we get to see the side of the star she’s gone to great lengths to hide. The “real” Beyonce perhaps? But many want to know, why now?
“I felt that after 16 years of being a public singer, people didn’t know who I was,” she admitted. She then add, “I will always keep certain things to myself because it’s only natural.”
Beyonce certainly does rule the world. Queen B appears on the cover of, the fashion bible that is, Vogue magazine and look stunning. Although Bey’s been more open about her pregnancy with daughter Blue Ivy, she opens up a bit more with the magazine as she discuss her labor and finally becoming a mom.
“I felt very maternal around eight months,” she remembers. “And I thought I couldn’t become any more until I saw the baby. . . . But it happened during my labor because I had a very strong connection with my child. I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door. And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain. . . . We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication.”
On giving birth, “My family and my closest people were there when I gave birth,” she says. “Everything that scared me just was not present in that room. So for me to really let go and really appreciate every contraction . . . it was the best day of my life.”
On her daughter she adds, “She’s my road dog,” Beyoncé says. “She’s my homey, my best friend.”
Beyonce surprised everyone when she wore a black and white pants suit to this year’s Grammy awards.
Although it’s not the sexy long flowing gown we though Bey would wear the fitted pants suit works for the singer.
Earlier today Beyonce posted a few pics of herself and her “clique” on her Tumblr page. Using the hashtags #mylife #mygirls #DC3, Beyonce also posted a pic of the girls and her mother, Tina Knowles, Kelly and Michelle and cousin Angela Beyince. While Beyonce and the girls appear to be in good spirits and happy, her stans are going crazy. Tickets for “The Mrs. Carter Show” went on pre-sale today for several states and a majority are sold out. A few complaints about the website not being available at 10am when the tickets went on sale have fans everywhere a little nervous. Including me :).
Beef, what beef! Former When Destiny’s Child members LaTavia Roberson and LaToya Luckett have moved on from their rift with singers Beyonce and Kelly Rowland. So much so, the two ladies praised their Super Bowl performance.
Latavia (photoed above) recently caught up with Celebuzz and gave her opinion on Beyonce and her Destiny’s Child reunion with Rowland and Michelle Williams.
“Obviously, seeing Beyonce perform was the highlight for me,” the 31-year-old told Celebuzz. “I got a real surprise when both Kelly] and Michelle both popped-up on the stage like that.”
“I thought they all looked great and did a good job with their dance moves, she added. “Beyonce was especially amazing. She looked fabulous and her voice was really strong. During the performance somebody texted me to say they could not hear Kelly and Michelle sing. It was so noisy in the house where we watched the performance that I did not really notice anything wrong. But who knows? They probably had some technical problems.”
