Earlier in the week, Bow Wow was reported to have been fired from his hosting duties on BET’s weekly music countdown show, ’106 & Park’.
According to the reports, the rapper was canned for using the company’s credit card towards child support for his three year old daughter, Shai Moss, with fitness model Joie Chavis.
As reported by Cream BMP, a BET executive blasted the rapper following the discovery he used the company card for personal use.
If you watch the popular MTV show, ‘Catfish’, then you’re familiar with the show’s online daters being catfished or catfishing their love interests. And, if you’re still not familiar with what it means to be a catfish, it’s pretending to be someone you’re not only to appear more attractive to your admirer.
On one of the show’s most recent, and popular episodes, Keyonnah was catfished by Dee Pimpin who pretended to be rapper Bow Wow. The episode created so much buzz it captured the real Bow Wow’s attention, so much so, he invited the pair on 106 & Park to chop it up on what really happened.
Check out what the duo had to say when you watch the interview below. You can even listen to and watch Dee Pimpin’s new video for “Stunnaz”.
BET has finally confirmed what we’ve already suspected. ’106 & Park’ co-hosts Paigion, Shorty Da Prince and Miss Mykie have all been replaced by fashion designer Angela Simmons. Simmons joins remaining host and rapper, Mr. 106 himself, Bow Wow.
The network made the official announcement on Friday confirming the departure of the former hosts. The statement reads:
106 & PARK” is undergoing exciting changes. Angela Simmons will continue to guest host until the end of the summer. _______READMORE
Bow Wow is now the only host of ’106 & Park’. Don’t believe us? Just ask the 26 year old rapper. Recently Bow shared the above photo with the caption, “Got my own TV show. A n***a like Ooooooohhhh yeeeah!!!!! And im the consultant of the show?! Im only 26 its gone get scary #106andpark”.
Perhaps the network heard all the criticism and back lashed they faced when they hired the rapper along with newbies, Shorty Da Prince, Paigon and Miss Mykie back in October. The foursome were announced as the new music countdown show hosts after the departure of Roxie Diaz and Terrance Jenkins.
Keyshia Cole took over BET’s 106 & Park Tuesday night as she promoted her fifth album release ‘Woman To Woman’. She reminisced about her past albums, performers and the highlights of her career.

Earlier tonight BET announced their new hosts for music countdown series ’106 & Park’. The four new host includes Mr. 106 himself rapper Bow Wow, Detroit radio personality Paigon, fellow Detroit native and aspiring rapper Shorty Da Prince, and another aspiring rapper from Houston, with lots of personality by the way, Miss Mykie My money is betting on Miss Mykie to be the breakout star of the foursome. Terrence and Rocsi made their official announcement Tuesday night that they will, in fact, be leaving ’106 & Park’ after hosting the show for the last seven years. We told you they were rumored to be departing from their hosting duties but with last night’s statement it was made official.
In his own statement, President of Music Programming & Specials for BET Networks, Stephen J. Hill, had this to say:
“Today, after seven exciting years, 106 & Park hosts Terrence J and Rocsi announced that they will be leaving the show. It is no secret that there are a number of opportunities coming their way and we’re fortunate that they’ve been with 106 & Park for so long. They will be staying on the show for a while, so that we can have a “victory lap” — a celebration of their years at the helm of 106 & Park — before their departure. Terrence J and Rocsi are destined for great success and we at BET Networks will always take pride in being their original home — and be a place where I hope they’ll always feel welcome.”
I’m not sure what’s going on with BET but apparently everyone’s on the chopping block. Terrence J and Rocsi Diaz will no longer host the long running video countdown show, ’106 & Park’. Although no official announcement has been made, some recent reports suggest the duo will be leaving at the end of the current season.
Terrence and Rocsi are said to be venturing off in more television and film roles. While they may be grateful to have been apart of the BET family they’d like to take advantage of the opportunities that lay ahead.
