Grammy Award-winner Swizz Beatz and sons, Nasir and Kasseem, rap about literacy in an all-new episode of the PBS KIDS GO! series, ‘The Electric Company’ premiering on February 21 (check your local listings).
Swizz Beatz on why he chose to create a music video for the children’s series:
“It was a honor to be able to have some educational fun with my sons. I feel the more parents step up and be a support system for their kids the better the world can be. I support ‘The Electric Company’ for creating a outlet that can help the young generation.”

Congrats To Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz On Their Delivery
Congratulations are in order for singer/songwriter Alicia Keys and her producer husband Swizz Beatz.
The couple, who wed on July 31, 2010 in a lavished ceremony on the coast of Croacia, welcomed their first child together, a baby boy they named Egypt Daoud Dean, on Thursday night Oct. 14, 2010, at New York’s St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital.
Beatz, real name Kasseem Dean, already has three children from previous relationships; sons Prince Nasir Dean, born in 2000, Kasseem Dean Jr., born in December 2006, and a daughter born in May 2008.
Swizz later tweeted via twitter, “I’m so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww!”
What A Wedded Weekend
Congratulations are in order for three lovely couples. Saturday July 31, 2010 seemed to be a day made in wedded bliss.
A nearly 7 months pregnant Alicia Keys, 29 and beau Swizz Beatz, 31 real name Kasseem Dean, got married before an intimate gathering of family and friends at an estate in Corsica, an island in the Mediterranean Sea west if Italy.
Following the wedding the couple celebrated aboard a 260-foot yacht in Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda.
After exchanging vows in a Miami courthouse the day before, rapper T.I., Clifford Harris Jr., 29 and longtime girlfriend and singer Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle, 35 exchanged vows once more in a lavished ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
Tiny’s friend and reality show co-star Antonia ‘Toya’ Carter and former bandmate and Real Housewife of Atlanta star Kandi Burress both served as bridesmaids.
The couple have dated since 2001 and have two children together.
Chelsea Clinton and longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky wed Saturday in a lavish ceremony in Rhinebeck, N.Y., at the 13,000 square foot Astor family place.
In a statement, the Clinton family said,
“Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day.”
Swizz Beatz Talks Marriage & Babies

Although reports have surfaced that the two are planning a weekend wedding Beatz states,
“Well its not this weekend!” Swizz Beatz says. ”But you know, were excited. Our union is amazing. Our union is pure. Our union is positive no matter what people say or what people think, time will tell everything and you know, silence is the best thing. We just keep it private and we do our thing and just have fun with it.”
On Helping With The Wedding Planning
“Yeah, you know, I’m a planner!” he tells OK!. ”I like getting into the detail of things. I’m inspired by fashion, I’m inspired by art, I’m inspired by architectural things so [I like] being involved with the wedding. I’m not the person who sits back and goes, okay, well I’ll just show up. I’m actually spearheading certain plans but it’s a nice blend, a nice partnership.”
On What Kind Of Day He’s Planning
“Just an amazing day,” he says. “Very intimate. It’s not a superstar wedding. It’s not a gimmicky wedding. It’s a true bond of love, you know, that’s not based on having the most famous person sitting there while you’re doing it. It’s about having the closest people who really understand you as a person and that really have love for you. So it’s a small situation.”
On Welcoming A Child With Keys
“I’m very excited about that!” Swizz Beatz exclaims to OK!. ”Children, you know, they’re a blessing and I’m very excited.”And his older children feel the same way.“They’re excited as well. We keep the energy positive. Everything surrounding kids should always be positive. That’s the number one rule.”
On What Kind Of Mom Alicia Will Be
“I think she’s going to be an amazing mom because she’s an amazing person,” he says. ”If you’re an amazing person, it all equals the same thing.”
Despite rumors on how the music duo began their relationship I’d like to say congrats to the happy couple. In Swizz’s own words, “time will tell everything.”
Alicia Keys: "Pregnancy Is A Gift From God"
Alicia Keys has said her pregnancy is a ‘gift from god’ and admitted she may adopt a baby in the future.
Speaking to The Mirror about her baby bump the Empire State singer said: “I can’t wait to become a mum. No question.“It’s the most beautiful gift in the world. Truly a gift from God. I have an amazing mother – she is a best friend to me. And I would like to be the same to my child.”Alicia recently got engaged to the father of the baby- producer Swizz Beats. And although she’s only just expecting her first child Keys is already talking about more.She told the tabloid: “Adopting is definitely not out of the question. I would love to figure out the ways that could work for me.“I felt I wanted to scoop up the children I met in Africa and take them home. At this point I kinda feel I have amazing brothers and sisters in Africa.”
CONFIRMED: Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz Are Expecting!
I had every intention of staying away from this story, because screams speculation, pure gossip and entertainment for the ones who created it in the first place.
However, for weeks images emerged of Ms. Keys’ telling baby bump during several performances overseas. And now multiple news sources are confirming that Alicia Keys is in fact pregnant with her first child with producer boyfriend Swizz Beatz. It isn’t helpful that Keys and her stylists have gone to great lengths to conceal her pregnancy with frilly outfits, belts and over sized blouses.
Sources have even gone on to confirm that the couple are also engaged and are planning to wed in a private ceremony later on this year.
According to People magazine, The musicians “are expecting a baby and are engaged to be married in a private ceremony later this year,” reps for the couple confirm to PEOPLE.
The news comes shortly after the couple, reportedly together since fall 2008, attended a charity event for Alicia’s Keep A Child Alive foundation Thursday night.
Congrats to the lovely couple.
