Although most of us would think Joe Budden wants that old thing back ex-girlfriend and bodacious model Tahiry he says he just wants closure. He dishes on just that during his recent interview with Rolling Out. He also talks joining the new cast of “Love And Hip Hop: New York” and how being on reality television has impacted his personal and professional life.
On his relationship with ex-girlfriend Tahiry:
“Closure would be nice,” Joe says of the ongoing push-pull with Tahiry. “But that’s a luxury at this point between her and I. Would I prefer it? Yes. Will it ever be? Who the f–k knows?”
On being labeled a ladies man:
“As much as it is communicated, I don’t view myself that way. It’s almost a joke when I hear it. To me, it’s as simple as, I’m attracted to women that a lot of other people seem to be attracted to as well. They’re all beautiful and amazing women — physically, at least. It doesn’t set me apart. But I’m very transparent with them. Maybe most other people are not. Maybe I live in a bubble, in that respect. But that pretty much is always what it is.”
Following his rant against the war and bashing President Barack Obama, conscious rapper Lupe Fiasco was thrown offstage and out a pre-inauguration concert Sunday night in Washing, D.C.
According to concertgoers Lupe was escorted off stage at the Hamilton Live when he went on an anti-Obama rant in the middle of his set.
Reporter Josh Rogin, of the Foreign Policy magazine, tweeted late Sunday, “Lupe Fiasco just got thrown off stage here at the Hamilton Live after he went on an anti-Obama diatribe mid set,”
“So Lupe played one anti-war song for 30 min and said he didn’t vote for Obama,” he continued, ”and eventually was told to move on to the next song…Lupe refused to move to the next song so a team of security guards came on stage and told him to go.”
The irony here? This isn’t the first time Lupe has been vocal about his disdain for the President and his policies.
Common stopped by Dallas, TX to promote new indie film, ‘LUV’ (Learning Uncle Vincent). Although the rapper has been pretty low key about his personal life there are rumors he is dating his film director Nzingah Stewart. Good thing Diva Whispers was on hand to ask that very question.
Although the two were recently spotted at a LA nightclub dancing pretty closely the rapper insist they’re just friends. “I’m single, no girlfriend, and would love to fall in love,” says Common. “Nzingah is just a friend, the blogs always put more on things,” he added.
Check out his interview with Toshira over at DivaWhispers.com as he discusses his love life and upcoming film.
Andre Benjamin, better known as Andre 3000, is set to star in Jimi Hendrix biopic. According to the Irish Film And Television Network, the Outkast rapper will play Hendrix during his time in England between 1966 and 1967, as he prepared for his musical debut with the ‘Are You Experienced’ album.
The film, set to be titled “All Is By My Side”, will be directed by John Riley, the man responsible for movies including “Red Tails” and “U-Turn”.
It’s believed the rapper has already flown to Ireland to begin filming for his starring role. Not new to acting, however, Benjamin has already had small roles in several movies including “Idlewild”, “Four Brothers”, “Be Cool” and “Scary Movie 4″.
Do you think Andre 3000 was the right choice to take on this role? In my opinion, I couldn’t have picked a better choice. Can’t wait to see how well he’ll do.
Is anyone really all that surprised that Chrissy and Jim would want their own spin-off from hit reality show, ‘Love & Hip Hop’?
Although the show is successful, the couple did not like the way they were been portrayed during season 2 of the show’s installment. It was clear when Chrissy confronted producer Mona Scott during the behind the scenes edits shown during the show’s reunion special. In fact, Lampkin requested she be interviewed by another producer. She even went as far as hinting that she nor her rapper fiance might return to the show. Jones also confronted Scott adding it was not what he signed up for.
Now, a close source is revealing the couple are filming 7 half-hour episodes of the spin-off said to be called, ‘Jim & The Family Jones’.
Yeah, yeah I know what you’re thinking. 2 Pac‘s been dead for nearly 15 years but someone thought it would be nice to resurrect him apparently. Snoop Dogg put together an incredible performance when he presented the crowd with a life size hologram of the late rapper. “Pac” joined Snoop on stage to perform “Hail Mary”. The hologram looked so real and believable the crowd went wild!
Snoop was also joined by Dr. Dre who he hadn’t performed with on stage for more 20 years. The pair were also joined by Wiz Khalifa, Eminem and 50 Cent to complete the set. And in true Snoop fashion, he couldn’t go without smoking a blunt as was his prodigy Wiz. Check it out.
A moment surely to be remembered for years to come.

Heavy D passed away nearly two months ago but toxicology reports are now revealing what killed the rapper. According to the LA County Coroner’s Office, the rapper died from a pulmonary embolism, or rather a blood clot in the lung. The office believes the blood clot, formed in a vessel in his leg, was likely a result from traveling on a long flight back to LA.
Heavy D, real name Dwight Arrington Myers, had been traveling back from Wales where he performed during a Michael Jackson tribute concert. He also suffered from heart disease, which is believed to be another contributing factor in his death.
On the morning of November 9th, the rapper had had trouble breathing after collapsing outside his Beverly Hills home. Shortly thereafter, he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Atlanta rapper Young Vito, 28, (right) has been charged with the death of fellow artist Slim Dunkin, 24, (left). The man surrundered to police Monday afternoon after a plea from the late rappers mother to step forward.
Dunkin, born Mario Hamilton, was shot and killed in an Atlanta studio on December 16th. Following the murder, detectives were left with many unanswered questions after witnesses were unable to identify the assailant.
Vito, (Vinson Hardimon), and his attorney, Derrick Wright, walked into the Atlanta police station yesterday afternoon to finally disclose the events surrounding Dunkin’s murder.
Detective David Quinn confirmed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the rapper’s attorney contacted the department and said, he [Vito] wished to turn himself in.
