Queen Latifah Releases Her Persona!

Queen Latifah is set to release a new album next Tuesday, August 25th and she’s decided to name her album ‘Persona’. I actually like this cover.

In recent months fame celebrity photographer Derek Blank has had photo shoots with numerous celebs where they’re encouraged to tap into their alter egos, so this is very much representative of the times.

One single that’s hit the net and will be featured on the album is “Fast Car” featuring Missy Elliott. I can’t really put my finger on it but the song is catchy with an old school vibe. check it out. CLICK!

In the recent issue of Essence magazine rap sensation and actress, Queen Latifah opens up about childhood demons. The star reveals she was sexual abused and has struggled with commitment issues.

Of the traumatic experience, Latifah tells that she was violated by a teenage babysitter, saying, “He violated me. I never told anybody. I just buried it as deeply as I could and kept people at an arms length. I never really let a person get too close to me.”

She also admits that, because of the abuse, she’s since struggled with commitment. “I could have been married years ago, but I had a commitment issue.”

The 81 Academy Awards:What The Stars Wore!

The part we all love! Let’s take a look on what the stars wore last night.

The gorgeous Halle Berry with beau Gabriel Aubry.

Beyonce dazzled in this number, not one of my faves but she pulled it off.
Everyone’s favorite black couple, Will & Jada always make the most stunning couple.
Alicia Keys looked great as usual, not a big fan of the extensions but her dress looked great, beautiful spring color. And although Taraji P. Henson didn’t win for Best Supposting Actress she looked dashing. Light tones and soft tones dominated the Oscars light night and Taraji pulled it off well.
I think the real Mr. & Mrs. Smith may have some competition with everyone’s favorite couple ever, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Love them!
Queen Latifah looked great last ngiht and her tribute to those who are no longer with us was great!
