TIME magazine has just released their pick for the ’100 Most Influential People’ of 2012. Among them, Rihanna, Jermey Lin, Adele, Chelsea Handler, President Barack Obama, Viola Davis and a long list of “doers” not accustomed to being in the public eye but have managed to influenced us, in one way or another.
As TIME puts it, “The nature of influence changes. The word originates from the medieval idea that a magical liquid emanates from the stars to influence our actions on earth. Modern influence often comes from the magical ability of technology and social media to overcome time and distance and reorder our perceptions. Before microphones and television were invented, a leader had to stand in front of a crowd and bellow. Now she can tweet a phrase that reaches millions in a flash. Influence was never easier — or more ephemeral.
Which is why we try to choose those people whose influence is both lasting and, with a few notable exceptions, laudable.”
Well, isn’t this something. Channing Tatum will be taking it all off for the ladies. The ‘Magic Mike’ movie trailer is here, and aren’t we just a little bit excited! Take it off!
Veteran stripper Magic Mike Martingano (Tatum) teaches a new stripper (Alex Pettyfer) about the occupation. They work at the club Xquisite, owned by the former stripper Dallas, played by Matthew McConaughey. Tatum certainly doesn’t disappoint showing off his dance skills and this isn’t the first time he shows off his moves. If you all remember the 2006 film, ‘Step Up’ then you’ll know he can actually bust a move or two. Check it out below.
Just a little tid bit, Tatum was actually once a male stripper so this isn’t the first time he’s had to strip for a group of women. He may have actually been the perfect fit for this role. Looking good Channing.
Rumor has it, Royce Reed, 29, of ‘Basketball Wives’ is getting married to boyfriend Dez Briscoe, 22. Well, that’s so according to cast mate Kenya Bell.
It was just Monday night, Royce and the mother of Dez’s son and ex-girlfriend, Christina Nero, got into a heated twitter war of the words over accusations Dez is still pining for his ex. In fact, Nero posted some pretty damaging phone messages, “in Dez’s own words”, just what he’d like to do to her.
In his defense, however, Royce accused the woman of copy, pasting and forging the message photos to stir up some drama. But why would Nero go through such trouble? Well, it may be because of the hit reality show last episode. Royce and Dez, for the first time on the show, displayed their love and affection for one another and even discussed having a future together.
Could this be a woman scorned or is Royce being delusional? Not sure, but if Royce’s history with men serves right, she’s living in “la la land”. Guess, we’ll have to wait and see just how this one plays out.
At the moment, however, Royce has yet to confirm or deny Bell’s twitter message on her engagement. But, it true, congratulations! Or should I say run?

Television pioneer, Dick Clark has passed away at the age of 82. The ‘American Bandstand’ and, later, ‘Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve’ producer and host suffered a massive heart attack following an outpatient procedure, says publicist Paul Shefrin.
Clark passed at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, “attempts to resuscitate were unsuccessful,” his publicist stated.
At the moment his family hasn’t decided on a public memorial but says there will be no funeral.
After his stroke back in 2004, following a Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis, Clark’s health has suffered tremendously over the years.
