Although, neither Jay Z or Kanye West made an appearance in their “No Church In the Wild” video, the visual has stirred up much controversy following it’s premiere Tuesday afternoon.
The video is plagued with biblical and fixtures of the Christian faith and although no one but these two can fully elaborate on what the symbolic figures mean, it’s clear they’re sending a message. The video shot by French director Romain Gavras in Prague, Czech Republic, sometime, this past April. See for yourselves. What message are these two sending?
Nas has premiered the visual for well received single “Daughters”. The single and video is loosely based on his own relationship with daughter, Destiny Jones, who makes an appearance in the video.
What’s ironic, however, is that Nas’ ex and Destiny’s mom, Carmen Bryan, initially shunned the song and thought Nas hadn’t been a good enough father to record and release the record. We guess, Destiny didn’t mind all that much. Check it out.
Singer/songwriter Dawn Richard recently sat down with PYNK magazine to discuss her growing solo music career, her personal style, who are her crushes, keeping in touch with her former band-mates and so much more. Here’s what Dawn had to say.
*Where do you see your music career going in the next 5 years? *
“I would hope that my music reaches the masses without losing anyone in the process. I think musically when people listen to this RnB and watch the dance that goes along with it the movements are a little bit more moving, than when people simply listen to other RnB. I hope that the word innovative would be used a lot. I hope that after people have seen the same thing over and over again, their eyes will be open to something different. I am a storyteller, and I would love to be telling who I am while continuing to push the envelope through my music.”
*What has been one of the most memorial moments in the your music career? *
“There are so many moments, I have had an amazing timeline of events. I think the time when I made the group Dainty Kane, as well as the time I gotto work with Legend Grace Jones.”
*How would you describe your personal style? *
“I am a huge fan of pushing the envelope, I am a hippy at heart. I enjoy mixing different prints and patterns together.”
Meagan Good, was spotted at her Pussycat Dolls burlesque themed party in Las Vegas Sunday night. Ironically, the soon to be married actress recently revealed she and fiance and preacher Devon Franklin had not “officially been together” and won’t do so until their wedding night.
In a recent interview with Life & Style Good says, “Our wedding night will be the first time we’re actually together. He was willing to be celibate with me for a year. He loves God, more than I love God, so I don’t think there’s anything wrong [with him].”
Does her fiance approve of her pole dancing antics, however?
She told Robin Leach, “He is not ecstatic about it, but it’s a bachelorette party. It’s the last time before I’m a married woman, and he understands that. He wants me to have fun and be happy and do the things that I want to do on my bucket list and not let people’s opinions of what I should and shouldn’t be doing control how we live our lives.”

Five months after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy, Beyonce returned to the stage in her four day concerts at the Revel Atlantic City Resorts.
The sexy singer showed off her post baby body in dazzling body fitting onesies after revealing she’s shed 60 pounds by running on a treadmill and eating lettuce.
She performed over two dozen songs from her more current hits, “Run The World (Girls)”, “Love On Top”, “Party”, as well as some older hits songs including “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)”, “If I Was A Boy”, “Crazy In Love” and “Irreplaceable”. She also paid tribute to some fallen icons who’ve died this past year including Whitney Houston with “I Will Always Love You” and Donna Summer with “Naughty Girl”, which was sampled from Summer’s own hit “Love to Love You Baby”.
And what’s the highest compliment Ms. Knowles could be given? Well for starters, her hubby Jay Z, who just returned from his ‘Watch The Throne’ London tour, tweeted, “I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna end mine. BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.”
What’s bigger than that? First Lady Michelle Obama attended Knowles’ sold-out Revel concert along with daughters Sasha and Maliah Saturday night. I guess she gave the singer her seal of approval.
Check out some more Beyonce photos and a few performances below.

Chris Brown has released the official video for current single “Sweet Love”. It’s always nice to get traditional R&B songs from Brown whose somewhat become the prince of dance music and when he isn’t doing that he’s spitting a few bars. This one’s some good ole fashion baby making music. The video is nothing new but doesn’t take away from the song, which is good. check out “Sweet Love”.
Janet Jackson showed off her slim figure in a white Emilio Pucci halter dress while attending the 65th amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Cannes. The beautiful singer also had no problem showing off her bust-line.
The custom made dress had a plunking neckline, although not fitting, complimented the singer’s curves well. It also had a split down the center beginning just above her knees.
Her makeup was just right (enough to be seen but wasn’t over-done) while her hair was long and straight, pulled back behind her ears and lightly teased at the crown.
Janet didn’t wear much jewelry just a Pomellato “Tang” 18K rose gold white diamond bracelet.
And let’s not forgot the shoes! They were a pair of metallic and black t-strap platform pumps. Love them!
Are we loving the look?
