Nick Cannon would like to defend his wife and singer, Mariah Carey. During an interview with LA’s KTLA morning show, Cannon says feuding with rapper Nicki Minaj is not what Mariah wanted!

Whose to blame? The producers of ‘American Idol’ says Cannon.

“She comes home and just doesn’t have time for it, you know?” he explained. “She’s trying to be the world’s biggest superstar mom, and it’s just really one of those things where she didn’t sign up for that, and she’s like, ‘aww man, I wish that experience could be about what the show is really supposed to be about.’”

Yes, that’s right. The couple’s wedding anniversary is also their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, birthday. It was also on April 30th, two years ago, that they welcomed Dem Babies.

Nick and Mariah not only celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary with a renewal of their vows this week, they also celebrated their twins’ first birthday.

Aren’t they just precious!

In honor of their birthday momma Mariah, who was on a plane at the time, tweeted, “Singing at this altitude is almost like giving birth to twins, which I did last year on this day.. lol! Happy birthday dembabies!!

Nick followed with “One of the happiest days of my life! Watching my wife on stage on our 4th anniversary & celebrating our kids 1st birthday! On a Jet home!”

Here’s a photo of the couple as they celebrated 4 years of marriage in Paris after renewing their vows.

The couple got married in the Bahama on April 27th 2008.

Who knew Nick Cannon had specs (and other things hanging out I see)? Ha! No seriously.

Mr. Cannon showed off his physique in the latest issue of Men’s Health Magazine. He talks being a first time dad, his wife Ms. Mariah Carey of course, being called Mr. Carey and returning to his roots as a stand up comic. Here’s a bit of that interview.

Men’s Health: You’re about 6 months into your new gig as a first-time dad. Can anything truly prepare guys for that role?

Nick Cannon: You know what? You talk to your parents. That’s probably what I did the most. It gives me even greater respect for my parents, just because I never thought about what they were going through when I was a youngster. I feel like everyone who raised me did a great job, so why not get the best advice for them?

MH: Is it fun, in a sense, that you and Mariah sometimes have no clue what you’re doing as parents?

NC: I think I’m actually built for fatherhood. I love to have a good time and play, but at the same time I’ve got a really serious side to me, and I think that’s the balance you have to have. Get on your kids’ level, but at any point in time, let them know who the parent is. You have to understand balance, and be willing to grow and learn from them daily.

MH: What’s the toughest part about being married to another star?

NC: There’s not enough space in the mirror. We’re both always checking ourselves out. [Laughs]
