By now you’ve all probably heard that Ashanti and Nelly have broken up and no longer dating. In fact, the rapper is said to now be dating actress Tae Heckard. Although she’s kept quiet about her recent breakup Ashanti is now speaking out via social media on how she feels.

Well, what a difference a few months make. Wasn’t it just last October when we spotted Nelly and Ashanti celebrating her birthday? Well, that may all be over. After dating for about 8 years the couple have called it quits! Although this isn’t the first time the couple have been rumored to have broken up, this time, Nelly has been spending quite some time with actress Tae Heckard. Here’s a photo Tae posted via Instagram of herself and Nelly smoking some trees. She writes, “N*ggas sswweeaarrr it’s medicinal. Pull out yo prescription then…-_-”

Nelly celebrates his 37th birthday today!
The “Country Grammar” rapper, who burst on the scene in 2000, has not only sold 21 millions albums across the United States, but has ventured off into acting and has become a lucrative businessman.
He’s even a philanthropist. He founded the “4Sho4Kids Foundation” following the diagnosis and death of his sister Jackie Donahue from leukemia. The foundation attempts to educate African-Americans and other minorities about the need for bone marrow transplants, and urges the registration of more donors.
Just how will he celebrate his birthday, Vegas of course!
He’ll host his birthday/fight party at TAO Las Vegas, Saturday, Nov 12th. I wonder if his on-off and believed to be back on girlfriend Ashanti will be in toe to celebrate? Hmm…I’ll keep you posted.

They’ve always had great chemistry. I wonder if they were actually a couple before the rapper began dating Ashanti. Hmmm…. guess we may never know.

Mr. & Mrs. Carter brought in the new year in Vegas and even brought along a few friends to enjoy the ride along with them, performers like Cole Play, Kanye West and even John Mayer joined in on the festivities hitting the stage to kick off the new year celebration. The ensemble performed onstage at The Cosmopolitan Grand Opening in Marquee Nightclub.
Beyonce even took to the stage to perform “Forever Young” with the man of the hour Jay Z and her own hit “Halo”.
Ashanti and Nelly put rumors to bed. They look very much the happy couple on their New Years Eve celebration in Vegas.
Maybe they’ll actually acknowledge that they are in fact in a relationship now.
Nelly is back with single “Move That Body” along with T-Pain and A-Kon. The single is set to appear on the rapper’s fifth studio album Nelly 5.0 later this year.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, Toni Braxton and sister Tamar as well as singer Tyrese hit up Vegas hot spot Bank Night Club in the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.
Tyrese and Toni were later spotted at another Vegas hot spot Body English, where rapper Nelly, Jermaine Dupri and actor Larenz Tate were partying as well.
Nelly was in the house to DJ.

It’s been confirmed. Kelis and Nas are expecting their first child together. Sources are dishing the duo are pretty excited. Kelis is said to be in her first trimester and already sporting a small bump. A source close to the couple even went as far as stating, “she’s carrying Hip-Hop royalty”. I’m loving that statement! Congrats to the parents to be.
Jill Scott and finance Lil Jon are expecting their first child together as well. Jill is already well into her second trimester and is currently filming for the HBO series The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, based on the popular novels by Alexander McCall Smith. The Why Did I Get Married star is expected to deliver April 24th.
Kimora Lee and Djimon Hounsou are now expecting their first child together according to a close friend. It was recently reported to Usmagazine.com. The former Mrs. Simmons has two daughters Ming Lee,8 and Oaki Lee,6 with Hip-Hop mogul Russell Simmons. Kimora didn’t exactly hide the fact that she wanted more children, when asked, she responded by saying “I would love to, I practice everyday.” Although they have yet to confirm, the two have been dating since early 2007.
Rumor mills are spinning. Mediatakeout is reporting that Nelly and Ashanti are expecting. The couple of 6 years reported revealed the news to a group of close friends and family. I don’t know how true this story is. Afterall, it is mediatakeout! But if so, congrats!

The rapper revealed to PEOPLE mag thst the key to their relationship is having fun,
“That’s the thing between me and her, we just like having fun,” he said Sunday at Las Vegas’s Lavo club, where he was celebrating his 34th birthday. Ashanti, away in Japan not able to attend the party, Nelly admitted that the two have been “hanging out for a minute.”( Approximately 5 years!)
So is it serious? “I think it’s always serious,” he said, “when you can hang with a person continuously … and [“still”] have fun.”
Is there an engagement in the future? During the summer Ashanti revealed to PEOPLE that an engagement could definitley be in the future but wouldn’t go into further details.
