We so hope this story is not true! Nas and Kelis‘ three year old son, Knight Jones, may not be his son
. Well, that’s according to Rhymes with Snitch anyway.
The gossip site reports, “Kelis is keeping a secret. The father of her son is former football player Wale (Adewale) Ogunleye not Nasir Jones. After adult freaky tape allegations leaked featuring Kelis and a man other than her husband she decided to become pregnant to save her failing marriage (back in 2009). She thought it would take a few months for her to conceive but she was pregnant within a month. _______READMORE
Well what do you know! My one time favorite Hip-Hop couple, Nas and Kelis, may be rekindling a romance. Apparently they want that old thing back. Hmmmm….interesting.
According to celebrity blogger over at href=”http://iamjasonlee.com/2012/08/rumor-alert-are-kelis-nas-still-hooking-up-photo/”>IAmJasonLee.com the one time couple were both in attendance at the “Hollywood Bowl” recently when he spotted Kelis as he attempted to get closer to the stage. After the concert was over, Lee asked Kelis if he could take a photo with her when he spotted a “mystery” man. And low and behold the man was none other than Queens rapper Nasir Jones!
And that’s not all he saw…..

A new song from Nas‘ forthcoming album ‘Life Is Good’ has hit the net and the single features the late Amy Winehouse.
This isn’t the first time the duo have worked together however. Prior to her death last year, Amy worked with Nas back in 2008. Their collaboration on her single “Like Smoke” appeared on Winehouse’s last album ‘Lioness: Hidden Treasures,’ released after her death in July 2011.
It was also rumored that Nas and Winehouse had a courtship back in at some point during their musical collaborations. In fact, her single “Mr. Jones”, featured on her 2008 album “Back To Black” was said to be about the rapper.
Here’s “Cherry Wine”
“L Boogie” was on hand to join Nas during his Hot 97 Summer Jam set Sunday night, performing “If I Ruled The World”. She may have helped saved the show after fellow female emcee Nicki Minaj cancelled last minute after being dissed by the station’s DJ, Peter Rosenberg. Although Hill supports artists taking a stand on not being disrespected she had to clear up a few rumors as to whether she was to perform alongside Minaj. Lauryn Hill tweeted this message,
No disrespect to Nicki, but I need to clear up an inaccuracy. I was not scheduled to be a special guest on her set at Summer Jam, I was invited by Nas to perform with him. I don’t have details on exactly what transpired between the station and the artists, but I do support artists standing by their beliefs, and walking with integrity. We have to find a better way to commercially exploit music, while giving artists their proper respect. This cannot be done while taking their contributions for granted, or trying to control the scope of their growth and power through threats and fear tactics. We can do better than this, there is a better way, or else ‘we’ (the proverbial we) find ourselves in danger of being hypocrites!!!
Ms. Lauryn Hill
And this is why we love her. So eloquently said.
And here’s Nas and Lauryn Hill’s performance during Sunday night’s festivities. Lauryn also performed a medley of singles from her solo album along with her Fugees days.
Nas has premiered the visual for well received single “Daughters”. The single and video is loosely based on his own relationship with daughter, Destiny Jones, who makes an appearance in the video.
What’s ironic, however, is that Nas’ ex and Destiny’s mom, Carmen Bryan, initially shunned the song and thought Nas hadn’t been a good enough father to record and release the record. We guess, Destiny didn’t mind all that much. Check it out.
Despite her mother going on a twitter rant about Nas‘ “Daughters” single, Destiny Jones seems to have no problems at all. She joined her dad on the set of the video shoot and may even make an appearance in the visual. The duo are joined by stylist June Ambrose and video director Chris Robinson in the photo above.
In case you wanted to rehash Carmen (Destiny’s mother and Nas’ ex) rants and bashing on his fathering skills, go to Nas Releases “Daughters” Song, Baby Mama Goes On Twitter Rant.
Nas‘ baby mama, Carmen Bryan, clearly did not appreciate his new song, released today, about “Daughters”.
In fact she’s pissed! Here’s what she tweeted.
And when a twitter follower responded, she quickly retweeted them.
She also dished out several derogatory comments to a few responders before ending with…
And there you have it.
So, what’s all this fuss about? Just listen to the song.
Jay Z made history in New York City, last night, as the first rapper to headline a concert in Carnegie Hall. The concert was held to benefit the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. He brought along Alicia Keys and one time nemesis Nas who performed with the rapper as well.
He performed ‘Glory’ for the first time. The song he dedicated to his new born daughter, who makes an appearance. Her cries can be heard at the end of the song. He also performed a number of hits, including, ’99 Problems’, ‘My Name Is Hov’ and ‘Public Service announcement’.
Chris Brown is recruiting a number of artists to help out on his forthcoming album, ‘Fortune’. This time, he has enlisted rapper Nas to spit a few bars. Hopefully, the single will make the cut. Here are the two men posing in the studio together.
Can’t wait to hear what they’ve recorded.

On the third and final day of The Coachella Music Festival, performers included Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, Ryan Leslie, Nas and Damian Marley.
Since Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West both attended at performed at The Coachella Music Festival on its third day, I wonder if their paths crossed? Interesting…
Here is video for Nas & Damian Marley’s first single “As We Enter” for the highly anticipated album collaboration Distance Relatives, due May 18th.
When I discovered that the two icons were working on an album together, I honestly didn’t know what to expect but the single is really good. I’m looking forward to seeing what else these two have in store for us.
After being spotted together Tuesday night at the Kara Young’s charity event blog sites have been buzzing with news that Nas and Kelis are back together.
Months ago while they were going through their divorce precedings I predicted they would get back together and work things out. It’s just too bad that their dirty laundry was aired out in the media the way it did. I really hope they can work this out and stay together for good, especially for their beautiful new born son, Knight Jones.
