Kandi Burruss has finally decided to sue former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast mate Kim Zolciak. As some of you may recall Kandi assisted Kim in garnering a #1 dance single when she wrote and helped her record “Tardy For The Party.” Burruss did the song as a favor to Kim and was not paid fully or given credit for any royalties for the record.

Four years and three seasons later, we’re not sure what took Burruss so long, but Kandi has given up on believe Kim Zolciak would be a dear friend and pay up!

In her lawsuit against Kim, Kandi files copyright infringement as the reason for the filing. She believes Kim unlawfully licensed, distributed and sold the song. In fact, Kim garnered a spin-off reality show titled, “Don’t Be Tardy For The Wedding”, a countdown special to her wedding to NFL player Kroy Biermann back in 2010. And now, she will had gotten another reality show, “Don’t Be Tardy,” set to premiere next month, April 16th.

And you’re not going to guess who is representing Kandi? Another housewife, Ms. Phaedra Parks herself. Hilarious!

It didn’t take long for Kim to respond though.

Kandi Burruss Talks

Former R&B group, Xscape, member Kandi Burress recently did an interview with Essence magazine to discuss the upcoming season of the ATL Housewives (where she is the newest cast member) and how all the gossip inspired the title of her upcoming album, “B.L.O.G.” (B*tches Love Online Gossip).

“I came up with the concept based on things that were going that were relevant to what’s going on in my life now including the show and what things have been written about me and my fiancée by bloggers,” she admits. “The whole album isn’t about the show but there are definitely songs inspired from the show like “Fly Above,” and “It Must Be Good.”
“B.L.O.G.,” which is scheduled for a September release, will also feature “Superwoman,” a duet and anthem for single mothers with Burruss’s dear friend, former Xscape member and T.I.’s fiancée, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle. Other guest artists include Rick Ross, Gucci Man and Rashieda.

She also discloses, she was originally suppose to do BET’s the “Tiny & Toya” show.

“I was supposed to be on the ‘Tiny & Toya’ show along with our friend Joy, Lyfe Jennings’s ex-fiancée,” explains Burruss, an original member of the early 90s female quartet, Xscape. “For whatever reason, the producer and Joy had an uneasy disagreement during the first meeting that I was unable to attend and he simply decided to do the show with Tiny and Toya. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to getting into reality television, but the next week I was approached to join the cast of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ so it all worked out.”
