Born Emmit Perry, Jr, the actor, writer, producer and philanthropist not only celebrates a birthday today but may be having the best week ever!

According to Forbes, he is currently the highest paid man in entertainment between May 2010 and 2011.

Thanks to five movies he has cranked out over the past two years and two TV series, Perry earned $130 million between May 2010 and May 2011, which ranks him as the highest-earning man in entertainment for that time period.

Rihanna Honored @ Island Def Jam Spring Collection Party

Last night, Rihanna was honored by mentor and Island Def Jam President L.A. Reid for selling 12 million records world-wide since her debut album four years ago. The pop star was given her own plaque as a reminder for what she’s achieve in such a short time. The celebration was held at the Stephen Weiss Studio in New York City.

Label-mates Amerie, Chrisette Michele, Kristina Debarge, and Jeremih (Mr. Birthday Sex) to name a few, joined in on the celebration as well.

Taraji P. Henson & Viola Davis Gets Honored

Actress Alfre Woodward, hosted a dinner party to honor Taraji P Henson and Viola Davis. Taraji P Henson and Viola Davis were both nominated by the Academy (Oscars) for “Best Supporting Actress”. Trajai, for her role in the “Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and Viola, for “Doubt”. (The event was sponsored by Grey Goose.)
