On Tuesday night Beyonce held her ‘Life Is But A Dream’ HBO documentary premiere at the Ziegfield theatre in New York City. Stars flocked to the event including Oprah herself. She was also joined by her husband, Jay Z, her sister Solange and mother Tina Knowles.
In the 90 minute documentary, directed and co-produced by Knowles, we get to see the side of the star she’s gone to great lengths to hide. The “real” Beyonce perhaps? But many want to know, why now?
“I felt that after 16 years of being a public singer, people didn’t know who I was,” she admitted. She then add, “I will always keep certain things to myself because it’s only natural.”
For Jay Z‘s 43rd birthdayLife & Styles released the behind the scenes look of Jay preparing for the opening of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center titled “Where I’m From”. The documentary detailed the days leading up to Center opening concerts as well as Jay visiting familiar places he grew up. Take a behind the scenes look below.
Beyonce will give an all exclusive and closer look in her personal life during an all access HBO documentary she’s also directing. Reports suggest baby Blue Ivy may even make her first on screen debut. The documentary is set to air on February16, 2013, around the same time Bey will headline the 2013 Super Bowl. Her fans can’t wait we’re sure.
Taraji P. Henson has teamed up with PETA for their “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign. In the “I Am an Animal” documentary shes says,
“Before I saw that documentary, I would wear fur. But I saw this documentary, and I was riveted. I cried. Could you imagine somebody ripping your hair out, while you’re still awake, fully conscious? It’s ridiculous, for the sake of fashion.”
“I don’t think a living being should suffer for the sake of fashion, period. End of story. You don’t have to kill an animal just because you want to be hot and fly. And I really stand by that.”
