The twentieth anniversary Hot 97 Summer Jam concert did not disappoint. Even the rain could not stop the festivities.
Nicki Minaj was also in the building joining 2 Chainz on stage and perhaps making up for last year’s cancellation.
Chris Brown put on a medley performance of some of his greatest hits, including “Look At Me Now”, “Strip” and more.

Beyonce was back to doing what she does best last night, performing! The singer rang in 2013 on a Vegas stage performing in a private concert at the Wynn Hotel.
And while Bey worked the stages in Vegas her hubby Jay Z performed at the Barclays Center.

Jay Z performed his third and final night of his Barclays Center opening concert series and brought out none other than his wife Beyonce, Saturday night.
Jay performed solo on ” 03 Bonnie & Clyde” but was then joined by Bey with her own single “Diva”. She also performed “Crazy In Love” and was rejoined by Jay. The couple partnered up again on Jay’s single “Forever Young” and they did not disappoint as you can imagine. Check it out below.

Nicki Minaj kept her word to fans after cancelling her June appearance during Hor 97′s Summer Jam concert following a diss from DJ Rosenberg.
In doing so she brought out 90′s rapstress Foxy Brown whose also a fellow Lil’ Kim nemesis. The event was held at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City.

Rihanna headlined the 2012 Radio 1 Hackney Weekend festival Sunday night. The event was held in London over the weekend and an impressive line-up graced the stage. The list includes Jay Z, Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, Jessie J and Nas just to name a few. But it was Rihanna who stole the show.

And from these photos it seems the animated Hip-Popper did not disappoint fans this time around. We all remember the disappoint of her cancelled Summer Jam performance. All seems to be forgiven in “Barbz” land.

“L Boogie” was on hand to join Nas during his Hot 97 Summer Jam set Sunday night, performing “If I Ruled The World”. She may have helped saved the show after fellow female emcee Nicki Minaj cancelled last minute after being dissed by the station’s DJ, Peter Rosenberg. Although Hill supports artists taking a stand on not being disrespected she had to clear up a few rumors as to whether she was to perform alongside Minaj. Lauryn Hill tweeted this message,
No disrespect to Nicki, but I need to clear up an inaccuracy. I was not scheduled to be a special guest on her set at Summer Jam, I was invited by Nas to perform with him. I don’t have details on exactly what transpired between the station and the artists, but I do support artists standing by their beliefs, and walking with integrity. We have to find a better way to commercially exploit music, while giving artists their proper respect. This cannot be done while taking their contributions for granted, or trying to control the scope of their growth and power through threats and fear tactics. We can do better than this, there is a better way, or else ‘we’ (the proverbial we) find ourselves in danger of being hypocrites!!!
