The 40th annual American Music Awards took place Sunday night and the best in music flocked to the red carpet showing off their best fashions.
Christina Aguilera looks amazing. Loving the bob. This is perhaps my favorite look of the night.
The ever animated Nicki Minaj looked less gaudy at this year’s awards.

Back with new single, “Your Body”, Christina Aguilera is gearing up for another album release but not before releasing this very sexy video of her latest single. The vixen makes it pretty clear that all she wants is “Your Body”, using, abusing and seemingly disposing of the men she’s just seduced. Check it out below.
It was 1999 when Christina Aguilera burst onto the scene with hit “Genie In A Bottle”. the song was just about everywhere. It peaked number 1 in the US, staying there five weeks (the only single to stay atop the charts that long that year), becoming the seventh best selling single of 1999. The single also peaked #1 in Europe and 6 other countries. In the UK not only did the single peak at number 1, but, it stayed there for a total of 24 weeks. The song was also nominated for a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at in 2000 has sold over 7 million copies, making it one of the best selling singles of all time. Could Christina Aguilera, 30, be headed for a melt down much like the one Britney Spears had after her marriage to Kevin Federline fell apart? I think so!
According to TMZ, at 2:45 this morning the recently divorced singer was arrested for public intoxication in West Hollywood. Her production assistant boyfriend Matthew Rutler, 25, whom she met on the set of Burlesque, was also arrested for DUI after police noticed he had been driving recklessly and pulled the vehicle over.
“Cops say the deputies determined Aguilera was also “extremely intoxicated” … and since she was unable to care for herself, Aguilera was taken into custody.
According to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, Rutler’s bail was set at $30,000. “
Aguilera has since been released on bail.
Christina and husband Jordan Bratman split just last September. The couple were married for five years and have a 3-year-old son together, Max.
For all who watched, there’s no secret, the Grammy Award ceremony was a bit of a snooze fest this year. Nonetheless, here are some note worthy performances.
Yolonda Adams, Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Florence Welch, and Martina McBride opened the show with a tribute to the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin.

Lady Gaga (Madonna’s spawn) performed new single ‘Born This Way’.
Not a surprise, they recruited Ricky Martin who not long ago announced he was indeed a homosexual man to introduce Lady Gaga and Elton John. Fitting for the occasion I suppose.
Probably the best performance of the night, Bruno Mars, B.O.B and Janelle Monae performing a medley of their songs ‘Nothing on You’, ‘Grenade’ and ‘Cold World’. Paying tribute to the old school while giving a little something new.

“When you’re unhappy in your marriage, your children are the ones who suffer. That’s the last thing I wanted for my son.After the completion of current film ‘Burlesque’ Christina says, “I didn’t feel right in my own shoes. I had a lot of things stirring inside of me that I felt were being suppressed. We tried to work on the marriage and figure out a common ground, but the problems were obvious.”On Dating Again:The singer began dating production assistant Matthew Rutler, whom she met on the set of ‘Burlesque’ , weeks after filing for divorce reveals, “Matthew is a special person. We had a really strong friendship on the movie. He’s the kind of person you could spend hours on the phone talking to — and all of a sudden it’s daylight.”

The couple, married since 2005 have a 2yr. old son together, Max Liron Bratman.
