Nick Cannon Diagnosed With Rare Form of Lupus

In some unfortunate news, Nick Cannon has been diagnosed with a rare form of Lupus. An autoimmune disease that’s attacking his liver.

Cannon had always thought he’s been in great physical health until early January when he was hospitalized while on vacation in Aspen for the holidays. He’d discovered he suffered a kidney failure.

He sat down with Robyn Roberts Monday morning on ‘Good Morning America’ to discuss his health and all of the lifestyle changes he’s made because of it.

Demi Moore Rushed To Hospital For Substance Abuse, Pulls Out From Movie

Actress Demi Moore was rushed to a LA hospital, Tuesday night, for what appears to be substance abuse, according to TMZ. However, her rep has reported the issue to be extreme exhaustion.

“Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health, ” says her rep.  She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.”

Now, it’s reported, Moore has withdrawn from the production of film, ‘Lovelace’. A biopic of former porn star Linda Lovelace. Demi was set to play a feminist activist, Gloria Steinem, who became know for taking a stance against pornography.

Back in November amidst cheating allegations, Demi filed for divorce from actor and husband of 5 years, Ashton Kutcher. He was last seen at a party when Moore was rushed to the hospital.

Tracy Morgan Rushed To Hospital

Comedian and actor, Tracy Morgan, was rushed to the hospital last night after he collapsed while attending the Sundance Film Festival.

Morgan was being honored at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards in Park City, Utah and fell unconscious following his acceptance speech and exiting the building.

Although initially thought to be the result of intoxication, a spokeswoman for Park City Medical Center, tells TMZ, no drugs or alcohol were found in Tracy’s system upon medical evaluation.

Morgan’s rep, Lewis Kay, also released a statement saying, “From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention.”

Already back in good spirits, just this morning the comedian tweeted, “Superman ran into a little kryptonite. The high altitude in Utah shook up this kid from Brooklyn.”

This isn’t the first time the star has faced health problems, however. In early 2011 Morgan revealed he had had a kidney transplant from complications of his Type 1 Diabetes.

In some sad news this morning, singer Toni Braxton was transported to an L.A. hospital earlier this week after a “flare up” stemming from her Lupus condition. The singer, however, took to twitter yesterday to address all concerns about her health.

She tweeted,

Hey guys! I’m sure you’ve heard rumors about me being in the hospital, they are in fact, true. I’ve been here since Monday but I am fine! 

Just a lupus flare up, but I promise you all I am ok! Love you all! Thanks so much for all of your support! Xoxoxoxoxo :)

The singer also tells TMZ, “I wanted to clear the record before rumors started, and will totally be fine as I’m blessed to having an amazing family for support.”

Braxton revealed she had Lupus last year on hit reality show, ‘Braxton Family Values‘. Lupus is a long-term autoimmune disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue. This may include the skin, joints, kidneys, brain, heart and other organs in the body.

Yesterday, Mariah Carey revealed that husband Nick Cannon had suffered a “mild” kidney failure and asked fans to keep him in their prayers.

Although the couple were held in Aspen, where they were on vacation, Nick was later transferred to Los Angeles Hospital to continue treatment.

Nick even took to twitter to say, “getting back to business http://t.co/TG63JXgV”, with the attached photo below photo.

This morning Mariah Carey took to twitter, posting the above photo, to announce husband, Nick Cannon, had been rushed to the hospital for a kidney failure. The couple, vacationing in Aspen, had a sudden change of plans when the “America’s Got Talent” host became ill. Although, Mariah says the systems are mild she asks that we keep Nick in our prayers.

Giuliana Rancic is doing quite well this morning after undergoing a successful double mastectomy. The E! News correspondent, who revealed her breast cancer diagnosis a couple months back, recently decided to undergo the procedure after a failed lumpectomy.

Husband Bill Rancic tells E!, “G is doing really well. Her surgery lasted about four hours and the doctors were very pleased with the result.”

“She had a little bit of pain through the night but is feeling much better this morning and was cracking jokes,” Bill added.

Rancic is expected to make a full recovery and back at work in no time. She’ll later undergo breast enhancement surgery.
