Nelson Mandela Doing Well Following Hospital Stay

Nelson Mandela gave everyone a scare over the weekend when reports surfaced the 94 year old former South African president was hospitalized. Some media outlets even reported Mandela to be growing frail in the past year.

But rest ashore. Mandela is doing quite well according to new reports from the South African government.

President Jacob Zuma visited Mandela and says he is “comfortable, and in good care”.

“I think he has had a restful night, the doctors are comfortable about it, they are continuing monitoring,” said Mac Maharaj, Mr Zuma’s spokesman and a former fellow prisoner with Mr Mandela.

The tests seem to be annual tests expected of a man Mandela’s age.

No further details were released on which hospital Mandela had been staying.

May he continue to be in good health.

For the second time this year Toni Braxton has been hospitalized stemming from health issues related to her Lupus diagnosis.

On Friday night the 45 year old singer tweeted to her Twitter followers, “Hey guys, I’m in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & Blood clots, I will be home soon…Thanks for all the love&support! Xoxo

Back in September Lark Voorhies’ mother revealed during an exclusive interview with People that the actress was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Although she’s best known for the role that made her famous, playing Lisa Turtle in the popular 80′s and 90′s sitcom, Saved by the Bell, these days she’s known for her strange behavior.

To address her mother’s accusations Lark decided to give an exclusive interview of her own with Eonline. she denies she has bipolar or any other mental health issues.

Things got a bit odd when she she was asked how she stays strong in the face of adversity. she says, “It’s much like fighting … when you enlist in the Army, you get yourself physically fit, mentally fit and informational-wise fit, so it’s just the same. It’s like stage boot camp. You know, you put all the right elements together and you keep them going … we have to be entertainers. This is our particular angle.”

Lil Wayne Hospitalized!

In some unfortunate news this morning, Lil’ Wayne was hospitalized following a seizure aboard his private jet Thursday afternoon.

The rapper was on board a private plane, in-flight, when he began to experience seizure like symptoms. The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in an undisclosed location in Texas, reports TMZ. Wayne was then admitted to a local hospital and treated for several hours before being released around 6 p.m.

Although no official statement was released on behalf of Wayne, sources close to the rapper says he is now “doing better.” No further information as to what caused the seizure has been released.

GMA Robin Roberts Reveals She’s Battling Blood Disorder

In some very unfortunate news today, ‘Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts opened up this morning about a disease she’s been secretly battling. It’s called myelodysplastic syndrome or MDS.  It’s a disease of the blood and bone marrow  caused by her cancer treatment due to radiation exposure.

In a official press release Roberts goes on to further explain her condition, how she’s coping and what she hopes for in the future.

As many of you know, 5 years ago I beat breast cancer. I’ve always been a fighter, and with all of your prayers and support, a winner.

Sometimes the treatment for cancer can cause other serious medical problems. Today, I want to let you know that I’ve been diagnosed with MDS or myelodysplastic syndrome. It’s a disease of the blood and bone marrow and was once known as preleukemia.

My doctors tell me I’m going to beat this — and I know it’s true.

If you Google MDS, you may find some scary stuff, including statistics that my doctors insist don’t apply to me. They say I’m younger and fitter than most people who confront this disease and will be cured.

Sheryl Crow Diagnosed With Brain Tumor

Sheryl Crow has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. In a recent interview with the Las Vegas Review Journal the singer says, “I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. I haven’t really talked about it. In November I found out I have a brain tumor.” Fortunately Sheryl may not have much to worry about. She adds, “but it’s benign, so I don’t have to worry about it.”

A rep for the star also adds, ” She has no symptoms and everything is fine. It was a random mention during the interview. It was not meant to alarm anyone. The tumor is a meningioma; it’s typically benign and develops from the protective linings of the brain and spinal cord. She is doing great and is healthy and happy.”

Although not the best news to receive we’re happy it’s not life threatening. It was just six years ago the singer overcame a breast cancer diagnosis. It’s not clear whether she will pursue surgery. We wish her well.

What’s wrong 50? The rapper tweeted a string of photos revealing he had been hospitalized, Wednesday night. from an apparent stomach virus that required surgery. Not sure what kind of stomach virus requires surgery but here are a few photos and messages he sent out.

Even while hospitalized 50 didn’t miss the opportunity to promote his mixtape. He tweeted, “I’m in the hospital but my gangsta grillz LOST TAPE is done so it will be out on time.”

He even tweeted to his best friend and boxer Floyd Mayweather. “I don’t want to go into surgery. @FloydMayweather call my phone why your phone off.” Awww… loving the bromance.

Warren Buffett Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer

In some sad news, business investor, Warren Buffett announced he has been diagnosed with stage I prostate cancer in a letter to shareholders of his firm Berkshire Hathaway, late Tuesday afternoon.

Buffett, 81,says his “condition is not remotely life-threatening or even debilitating in any meaningful way,” and no traces of cancer was found anywhere else in his body.

He went on to say, “I feel great — as if I were in my normal excellent health — and my energy level is 100%. I will let shareholders know immediately should my health situation change. Eventually, of course, it will; but I believe that day is a long way off.”

‘Basketball Wives’ Star Tami Roman Suffers “Mild” Heart Attack

Tami Roman of Vh1 hit reality show ‘Basketball Wives’ has suffered a mild heart attack Tuesday afternoon. She was immediately rushed to a NY hospital but was later released.

According to an official press release via Roman’s publicist,

NYC, New York- Last night, Tami Roman was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a medical emergency. She has since been released and would like to let her fans and supporters know she is doing fine and looks forward to resuming her scheduled engagements. She will also be back on Twitter communicating with her followers shortly.

No long after, in fact, she sent out several tweets thanking her fans for their get well wishes and that she’s recovering nicely. She tweeted, “Thx 2every1 for the get well wishes. Never thought I’d have a mild heart attack at 41. God has a way of bringing things into perspective. Finally going home 2my kids-heart meds and all.”

She adds she’ll be off twitter for a while and even thanked her ‘Basketball Wives’ cast for their well wishes, although we know she doesn’t much care for a few of them. In typical Tami fashion she also added, “Thk U all 4 loving me- I’ll b back bitching soon LOL.”

Some people will never learn I suppose. Get well Tami!
