Barbara Walters Announces Retirement For 2014!

Barbara WaltersIt’s official! Barbara Walters will be retiring in 2014.

After weeks long speculation, the television personality made the announcement Monday morning on ‘The View’.

She stated, “Let me just say I have been on television continuously for over 50 years. But in the summer of ’14 I plan to retire from appearing on television at all. … I’m perfectly healthy. This is my decision. This is what I want to do.”

Barbara Walters ’10 Most Fascinating People of 2012′

It’s that time again. Barbara Walters names the ‘Ten Most Fascinating People of 2012′ and you’re not gonna believe who was named as the most fascinating person of the year.

Walters chose controversial former head of the CIA David Petraeus.

On her chose Walters says, “David Petraeus was not chosen this year for his war record or his exemplary service to his country,” said Walters. “This is about military honor, colliding with sex and lies in the digital age.”

Patraeus stepped downback in November after admitting he was having an affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell.

Barbara Walters Reveals Her Pick For “Most Fascinating Person of 2011″


During the airing of her special, Wednesday night,Barbara Walters revealed her picks for the “Most Fascinating Person” of the year. The list includes, The Kardashians, who during their interview addressed the no. asked question. What exactly are they famous for? “You don’t sing, you don’t dance, you don’t act. Forgive me, but you don’t have any talent,” Walters says during their sit down.

“But we’re still entertaining people,” said Khloe.

“It’s more of a challenge for you to go on a reality show and get people to fall in love with you for being you. So there’s definitely a lot more pressure to be famous being famous for being ourselves,” Kim explained.

When asked who’s the most conceited, they all answered, Kim.  Something, I think, we could all agree to.

Barbara Walters Most Fascinating People of 2010

It’s that time of year again. Barbara Walters announces her list for ’10 Most Fascinating People of 2010′. Who are some of the celebs among them?

Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Beiber, ‘The Jersey Shore’, Kate Middleton, Betty White, Sarah Palin, LeBron James among others of course, (not in that particular order).

Walters is staying mum on the no. 1 person on her list until the special airs of course.

The No. 1 most-fascinating person will be announced on the ABC special, which airs Thursday, Dec. 9 at 10 p.m. ET.

Time’s 100 Most Influential People In The World Gala

Last night Time Magazine honored some of the 100 Most Influential People who made the list this year. The honorees were honored with a Gala held at the Lincoln Center in NYC.

John Legend performed for the guests and First Lady Michelle Obama did the honor of speaking at the event.

Guests included Gayle King, Cornell West, Tavis Smiley, the cast of The View, Oprah Winfrey, MIA, and John Legend.
