Singer Zendaya Coleman is calling out E! News correspondent, Giuliana Rancic, for some tactless comments she made about her faux locks during the 2015 Academy Awards red carpet arrivals, Sunday night.
Rancic’s statements were actually made on a follow up E!’s Fashion Police episode, a weekly show critiquing or honoring their fave or foe celebrity fashions.
Of the former Disney star’s faux dreadlocks, Rancic states, “I feel like she smelled like patchouli oil….. or weed.”
After viewers expressed their disappointment and dislike for the comments on social media, Zendaya also expressed her own disappointment over Rancic’s remarks.
In fact, the 18-year-old shared a well written letter to Rancic with her millions of followers on social media. Here’s what she had to say.
And here’s a better look at what Rancic had to say.
Update: It didn’t take long for Rancic to get wind of the backlash. She issued a public apology to the singer and actress via Twitter.
Sweethearts, do you feel the comments were disrespectful? Please share your thoughts, why or why not?
