Raven Symone Mocked for Deformed Eyebrows & Addresses “Not African American” Statments

Earlier in the week, we reported on Raven Symone and her “Where Are They Now” interview with Oprah Winfrey, Sunday night, where she confirms dating a woman and shockingly declared that she is “not African-American.”

As you can imagine, Raven has since been mocked and criticized for making the statements. Although she tried her best to explain to Winfrey what she had meant, she’s attempting to do so once more.

In an exclusive interview with The Grio she tells the media outlet,

“I never said I wasn’t black … I want to make that very clear. I said, I am not African-American. I never expected my personal beliefs and comments to spark such emotion in people. I think it is only positive when we can openly discuss race and being labeled in America.”

The actress and singer has also been mocked this week for having, what seems to be, deformed eyebrows. Upon catching wind of the jokes, Symone again tried to clarify what’s really going on.

Symone shared the below image with fans on social media, Friday morning.

The image was accompanied by this message. She wrote, “Listen here. My eyebrows are backwards and crooked on all sides. And since I’m not on a show, or a movie right now, I like to keep that painful wax and pluck routine to a minimum. Drawing in your eyebrows eerrrvry day is not fun. Since I was a baby. Don’t think I don’t know I got interesting brows. I’ll draw them in again when I need too! Lol”

And there you have it folks!

CK readers, what are your thoughts?
