Even when he should, Chris Brown isn’t one to shy away from controversy. On Monday, the singer garnered more bad press when it was reported that he shoved a girl while exiting a Houston night club. In fact, footage of the incident went viral online and media outlet, TMZ, ran the story.
However, TMZ failed to further explain that the female fan also attempted to kiss the singer as he exited the club with girlfriend Karrueche Tran. The article was presented as an anti-Chris Brown story and downplayed the nearly sexual assault and invasion of privacy — causing what some think was a natural reason by the singer. Given Brown’s violent history, it is no secret, the media outlet isn’t exactly a fan. After catching wind of all the reports, Brown took to social media to bash the outlet’s founder, Harvey Levin.
Accompanying the image was this message…
What the devil looks like in person. Lol. You sad little man. You’ve been trying for years to destroy me. It won’t work. Your efforts are flattering. When you look back on your life when it’s that time for you to depart, what can u actually say you’ve accomplished in life? Bringing people down and being the number one source for negativity. Life’s too short homie. Find some sort of happiness. You are a grown ass man. God bless you bruh.
And here’s the footage that started it all. You can see a, perhaps, overzealous fan attempting to hug and kiss the singer who had been leaving the club with his girlfriend, who followed behind him.
The singer later deleted the post.
Brown’s supporters, and even some critics, have since supported and agreed with the singer’s claims of Levin and the media outlet’s intent to perpetuate negativity.
CK readers, what are your thoughts on the matter, do you agree or disagree with the singer? Why or why not?
