Mathew Knowles’ Child Support Is Lowered

Mathew Knowles, 63, (Beyonce’s father and ex-manager) is certainly not doing as well as when he had Queen Bey on his team. Back in 2009, we learned that while Knowles was still married to Beyonce’s mother, Tina, he fathered a child and the couple soon separated. Then in 2011, Beyonce fired her father and his salary obviously went down drastically.

At first, Knowles wanted to pay Alexsandra Wright, the mother of the child, money to leave his name off the birth certificate, which Wright rightfully refused to do. Afterwards, when the longtime record producer and manager finally started paying child support, he made late payments and Wright claimed that was he not present in her son’s life.

Knowles, who used to make 3 million dollars a year, only collected 127,000 this year. He claims that he uses 51,000 per month for expenses. Due to his financial burdens, he recently asked a Los Angeles judge to lower his child support, which was $12,000 per month. Luckily for Knowles, a judge approved his request to lower his child support and now he will only need to pay less than $3,000 a month. Let’s hope that now he can make all the payments on time!
