Ladies and gentlemen, Drake is having a moment. Following the release of Rolling Stone magazine’s current feature, the Young Money rapper went on a rant about how evil the press is, his disgust and never doing interviews again.
What’s the matter? Drake felt some of his comments were taken out of context and that he was robbed of being on the cover.
Here what the rapper tweeted…
Drake has since deleted his tweets about losing the cover to Philip Seymour Hoffman, who passed away earlier this month from a heroin overdose (See HERE).
Just one day prior, some excerpts of the article also revealed his feelings over Macklemore‘s text messages to Kendrick Lamar following his Grammy win a few weeks ago. According to the Canadian rapper, Macklemore’s attempt to soothe Kendrick’s defeat was “wack as f**k.”
In fact, the rapper goes on to say, “I was like, ‘You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn’t deserve it, go get better — make better music,’” he tells Rolling Stone contributing editor Jonah Weiner. “It felt cheap. It didn’t feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won?”
On how the industry works he goes on to say, “This is how the world works: He made a brand of music that appealed to more people than me, Hov, Kanye and Kendrick. Whether people wanna say it’s racial, or whether it’s just the fact that he tapped into something we can’t tap into. That’s just how the cards fall. Own your shit.”
In the same issue Drake finally addressed all those Rihanna rumors. After a number of sightings together, many want to know, is the one time couple back on?
He says, “She’s the ultimate fantansy. I mean, I think about it. Like, ‘Man, that would be good.’ We have fun together she’s cool and sh*t. But we’re just friends she’s my dog for life. I’m not after pu**y like I was three years ago when I was trying to make up for all the years when no girl would talk to me. But I haven’t met somebody that makes everybody else not matter.”
What’s gotten into Drake? CK readers, was he wrong for his comments and tweets?
We’d love to hear your thoughts.
