Justin Bieber may want to be careful of his friends. The singer’s friend and rapper, Lil Za, was just arrested for cocaine possession following a raid at Bieber’s house in Calabasas, CA.
Although it was Bieber who was accused of throwing eggs at a neighbor’s house last week, Za (real name Xavier Smith), was arrested at approximately 10:30 a.m., Tuesday morning, for felony drug possession.
According to Eonline.com, During a press conference this (Tuesday) afternoon, L.A. County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore confirmed there has been one arrest for cocaine possession at Bieber’s home, which was in plain view when the officers arrived.
Earlier this morning, local police arrived at the singer’s doorsteps after obtaining a search warrant for Bieber’s L.A.-area home, where authorities are currently looking for any evidence linking the Biebs (or his friends) to the egging scandal.
Of Bieber’s whereabouts, he was present during the raid and was detained in his garage while police searched his property.
According to the police report, “The purpose of the search warrant is to seek video surveillance or other possible evidence in the vandalism that occurred on January 9, 2014,” the report states,” said a spokesperson from the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff’s Station of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
On Friday, Jan. 10, the Los Angeles Sheriff reported receiving a phone call from Bieber’s neighbor accusing him of egging his home the night before.
The vandalism damage was estimated, by the homeowner, to be approximately $20,000. As a result, the singer had been facing a felony vandalism charge (given the cost), if convicted.
As for Za, the rapper was re-booked for vandalism after losing his temper and breaking a phone while in custody, prior to his release. His bail was set at $20,000. There’s no word on whether the rapper has since been released.
