‘Hunger Games’ actress Jennifer Lawrence is this year’s AP Entertainer of the Year.
In a survey conducted by the newspaper and broadcast members, as well as the newspaper subscribers, the Academy Award winning actress beat out pop star Miley Cyrus on who had the most influence in entertainment and culture for 2013.
Out of the 70 ballots submitted, 15 were votes for Lawrence, 14 for Cyrus, and 13 for on-demand internet streaming and video rental company, Netflix, which came in third place.
Lawrence won her first Academy Award this year for her outstanding performance in “Silver Lining’s Playbook.”
It seems even with all her Twerking shenanigans Cyrus wasn’t able to rule out the girl on fire, Miss Katniss Everdeen.
Lawrence was also named one of 2013’s “Most Influential People” in the annual Barbara Walters special.
