Music producer and singer/songwriter, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Thursday, in Hollywood, CA.
Surrounded by his colleagues and close friends, Edmonds admits he was initially surprised by the honor.
“It was surreal,” the 10-time Grammy winner admitted. “That [receiving a star] was not part of the plan. That’s what makes it an amazing thing.”
Artists including Usher, Stevie Wonder, Toni Braxton and Hip Hop mogul, Diddy, were all on hand to congratulate the man of the hour.
Also in attendance was Edmond’ former longtime business partner, L.A. Reid.
“I just feel like what Kenny has done musically, and what he’s done as an inspiration to people as a role model has really advanced the culture. And a lot of babies were made,” Reid joked.
Braxton, who is also on a promotional tour for a duet album with Edmonds, had this to say, “I had a moment when I was about to cry. I was so proud of him. Because Kenny is kind of shy. He has a great sense of humor — a lot of people don’t know that about him, and he’s very modest. So I know it took a lot of pushing to get him to even commit to this.”
Of their project Braxton added, “He’s been my big brother and helping me get through this phase . It’s tough.” Braxton recently finalized her divorce from ex-husband Keri Lewis.
“It’s been a good thing for Toni because she was needing an outlet,” said Edmonds. “I think we found it. She sounds amazing.”
Braxton and Edmonds’ duet album, ‘Love, Marriage & Divorce’ is due to be released on Nov. 25.

Also in attendance to show their support, Khloe Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner.
Congrats Babyface, you deserve it!
