Designer Marc Jacobs Departs From Louis Vuitton

After 16-years of being the luxury brand’s creative director, Marc Jacobs, 50, is parting ways with Louis Vuitton.

On Wednesday, the fashion world was shocked by the news when the fashion designer and Louis Vuitton’s CEO, Bernard Arnaultm, made the announcement.

Of what he’s going to do next, there is speculation he may be headed to Coach while other reports suggest he’s going to now focus on his own Marc Jacob brand. In fact, Jacobs may already be preparing to his company public.

Marc Jacob is leaving his creative director position at Louis Vuitton’s flagship brand to focus on an IPO for the Marc Jacobs brand.
