R&B singer, Olivia has finally signed to a label.
For two seasons we’ve watched as Olivia struggled to rebuild her faltering music career on VH1’s ‘Love And Hip Hop’. Now we can officially announce, via a press release from her management this morning, she has decided to sign with Wonda Music.
Olivia also has a lot more in works for 2012. Since touring for much of 2011 she has garnered a partnership with a popular tequila brand, more details will be revealed in the coming months. Her video for latest single “Walk Away” was not only released but quickly rang up over 1.3 million views on her YouTube station. And, yes, an album is finally in the works.
As for Wonda Label, here are some more details on who they are and what they’ve done so far. The label is spear headed by Jerry ‘Wonda’ Duplessis, a Grammy Award-nominated musical composer and record producer. In 2009, Jerry Wonda created Wonda Music and began producing on his own, placing his first record with teen sensation, Justin Bieber with “U Smile.” He has since crafted hits for Estelle, Mary J. Blige, and Lupe Fiasco, and has recently worked with Akon, Keyshia Cole, Keri Hilson, Musiq Soulchild and Miguel. He’s also worked as producer for The Fugees‘ 1996 album ‘The Score’ with a long list of other accolades under his belt.
We can’t wait to see what their partnership will produce. Liv’s long awaited album, ‘Show The World’ is set for an official release sometime later this year. For more on Olivia visit her official website OliviaWorldWide.com, and follow her on Twitter @1andonlyOlivia.
