Chris Brown’s Return To Grammys Spark Controversy

Chris Brown‘s, 22, return to Sunday night’s Grammy Awards 3 years following his attack on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, 23, seemed to have sparked some kind of controversy. Following the show, although many celebs including Jessi J, Busta Rhymes, and Paris Hilton, among others, tweeted their support and love for Brown’s return and performance, there were some who were disappointed and believed he had been favored that night. Among them, country singer Miranda Lambert who tweeted, “Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.”

Not only did Chris perform but he won his first Grammy ever! To make matters worst, he returned for a second performance later on in the night along side Davide Guetta, Lil’ Wayne and the Foo Fighters. Adding further fuel to the fire, some of Brown’s fans, predominantly young girls, not only tweeted their support for the artist but made statements almost wishing he’s abuse them. Why? Because they love him so much it wouldn’t even matter. Disturbing? Very! Where are these girls’ parents is what I want to know.

Although I understand the concern, I don’t get why people can’t let it go! It’s been 3 years and the very person he attacked seemed to have gotten over it. How long is enough to punish him? Regardless of what’s happened in his personal life, I’ll say this, he’s a very talented artist . Singing/performing is his livelihood, do you really think he’s suppose to go away and give it up?  He’s worked really hard and have produced some really good music these last couple years. He’s even complied to the terms of his probation and that seems to be going fairly well. It’s fair to say, everyone deserves a second chance, let it go people!

If he’s able to grow and learn form his mistakes let him.
