Houston was set to appear at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party. Davis, the man responsible for discovering the singer as a teen and her longtime mentor or friend. For a short while, Davis contemplated cancelling the party to hold a gathering of close family and friends to remember the late singer but have since resumed the event. It was initially reported that rumored boyfriend and singer Ray J was the one who discovered her body but reports were recanted when it was discovered Whitney’s bodyguard, whose name is also Ray, was actually the one who discovered the singer’s lifeless body.

Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina is said to “she is not doing well” according to CNN.

Bobby Brown whose set to perform with band New Edition on a reunion tour in Southaven, MS is devastated. He’s had a number of breakdowns but is trying to go through with the show according to band mate Jonny Gill.
