‘The View’ co-host, Sherri Shepherd, 44, wed television writer Lamar Sally in an intimate ceremony in Chicago on Saturday confirms Us Weekly. Sally proposed on December 26 with a 3-carat princess-cut diamond ring (worth an estimated $70,000).
When asked what made Shepherd realize Sally was The One? She says, “this man not only loves me, but he adores my son. And my son adores him.”
Shepherd was previously married to comedian Jeff Tarpley from 2001-2009; they have one child together, son Jeffrey, 5.
Not to be outdone though, fellow View co-host Joy Behar wed long time partner, Steve Janowitz, of 29 years!
The couple, who were previously engaged in 2009, called off the then engagement due to “cold feet”, Behar said at the time.
What a difference time makes. In a statement issued by a ‘View’ spokesperson, ETonline reports the TV personality will reveal her nuptials during the show’s season premiere in Sept. 6. The spokesperson stated, “Yes I can confirm she was married [Thursday night] and will talk about it on The View September 6, when the show returns for its 15th season.”
Behar is believed to be on her honeymoon with her new husband.
