It’s that time again! The celebrity cast for the 11th season of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ has been revealed. The announcement was made during ABC’s “Bachelor Pad” by ‘Dancing with the Stars’ hosts Tom Berger and Brooke Burke.
The cast includes former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol Palin, comedian Margaret Cho, David Hasselhoff, Jersey Shores Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino, singers Brandy and Michael Bolton, “Dirty Dancing” star Jennifer Grey, former Lakers team mate Rick Fox, “Brandy Bunch” star Florence Henderson, Cardinals quarter back Kurt Warner actor Kyle Massey, and “The Hills” star Audrina Patridge.
As per Access Hollywood,
Bristol revealed that her mother, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, is already rooting for her little girl.
“She’s excited for me,” Bristol told Brooke. “She knows that this is going to be hard work, but she’s excited.”
When asked if Sarah would be making an appearance in the ballroom to check out Bristol’s moves, the young mom said, “hopefully.”
As for the Hoff, he revealed that it was his daughters – Taylor Ann and Hayley – who pushed him into the “DWTS” fold.
“My two daughters love this show and they convinced me — ‘Dad you gotta go for it.’ And life’s about a journey; it should be a lot of fun,” he said.
Jennifer, who starred with Patrick Swayze (a “DWTS” supporter before his death in 2009) in “Dirty Dancing” in 1987, cautioned viewers that she doesn’t have an advantage going into the competition.
“I’m 50. It’s been a lot of years since then,” Jennifer smiled.
No details were announced over which professional dancers would be returning and with whom they would be paired.
Season 11 of “Dancing with the Stars” premieres on Monday, September 20 at 8 PM. Results shows will air on Tuesdays at 9 PM.
With an all star line up I’m sure this season will be something to watch!
