If you haven’t already heard of this young lady then get ready! Although she’s already garnered some success as an emerging Hip Hop artist, rapper and singer Tink captured many of our attention last week when producer and mentor Timbaland released a version of Rick Ross‘ single “Moving Bass” with the Chicago native and rapper Jay Z featured on the record. Let’s just say we’re impressed. So much so, Tink may be the kind of competition and sound from a female emcee we’ve longed for for quite some time. Although we think she has her own original sound, we can’t help but to think of her as the Lauryn Hill of the new millennium.
Upon news that Missouri officer Darren Wilson will not face indictment for shooting and killing unarmed St. Louis teen Michael Brown back in August, earlier in the week, Tink has released a more somber record titled “Tell The Children.” The record not only shows off her versatility and expressiveness but also sends a positive message to today’s youth.
Listen to the records below and share your thoughts.
Following the announcement that Ferguson County police officer Darren Wilson will not be charged for the shooting that left unarmed St. Louis, MO teen Michael Brown dead, millions of Americans were left speechless.
The news was even more disheartening for Brown’s mother, Leslie McSpadden, who went on an emotional rant in her pain and anger at the decision made by the grand jury in the case.
Some of you mother**kers think this is a joke! They think this a f**kin joke!
They want him back in Ferguson…I can’t get nobody back!
The black community is living with the aftermath of, what seems like, another blow of injustice. On Monday, a grand jury decided that Ferguson County police officer Darren Wilson will not be indicted for shooting unarmed black teen Michael Brown last summer.
The decision, announced by St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert P. McCulloch, means that Wilson, 28, will face no charges for the Aug. 9th shooting of Brown, 18.
The announcement, although not surprising by many within the black community, still unleashed a fury of rage and disbelief.
Of the decision, McCulloch detailed conflicting reports of initial statements provided after the shooting and the investigation that followed. He also mentioned several eyewitnesses recanting or changing their stories all together, bringing about further confusion as to what took place the afternoon of Mike Brown’s death at the hand of officer Wilson. It’s perhaps for that very reason, the jury found no probable cause to indict Wilson.
Over the weekend, we learned of the passing of former DC mayor Marion Barry (See HERE).
After serving four terms as Washington D.C’s mayor and a long list of accomplishments under his belt, Barry’s legacy has, unfortunately, been tarnished by his 1990 arrest on drug possession and charges after FBI video footage of the mayor smoking crack cocaine in a hotel was leaked to the press.
There’s no question that Omarion loves his newborn son Megaa. The proud dad and singer uploaded a footage, earlier today, of a little father and son bonding moment with himself and the baby boy.
It’s so adorable that we can’t help but to gush! Watch the footage below and share your thoughts.
Over the weekend, Big Sean and Ariana Grande displayed some PDA backstage while in attendance to film a Very Grammy Christmas special in Los Angeles — set to air on CBS on December 5th.
Upon sharing the above image with his Instagram followers, the rapper captioned the photo with, “Me n my Ari.”
And it didn’t take long for the singer to follow suite. She also shared the image adding, “#repost me & my baby :)”
Amidst dating rumors between the pair, Christina Milian and Lil’ Wayne delivered a flirtatious performance of “Start A Fire” during the 2014 American Music Awards.
Of their performance and the night Milian also shared the above image adding, “What a night! So thankful to have this genius believe in me.. <3 #TNT #youngmoney #StartAFire #C5 #LilWayne #TinaTurnUp @liltunechi”

You can’t deny that fashionista and designer Angela Simmons has a great sense of style. It’s for that very reason that we were inspired to help you get her look for less.
Simmons shared the above image with fans on social media just one day ago and we thought we would recreate the look and provide some suggestions here.
Although she did not list the designers for the items she wore, here’s a photo grid of some affordable options.
