The Real Housewives Finale

It's that time again! The Real Housewives of Atlanta season finale will air tonight on Bravo at 10pm/9pm central. The much anticipated reunion special will air one week from today, next Tuesday Nov. 25th. Apparently some tension have developed between fellow housewives Kim Zolciak, Nene Leaks and Lisa Wu Hartwell. There are even rumors of a smack down session in the reunion special. In an Essence mag interview Zolciak cleared up some rumors of her own and discusses her future career moves.

ESSENCE.COM: Speaking of your relationship, there are tons of rumors out there that your fiancé, otherwise known as Big Poppa, is married. Care to clarify?
ZOLCIAK: He is legally married. He has been going through a divorce for years. I’ve seen all these crazy names of who he is on the Internet, like Quincy Jones, Ted Turner, and even Dallas. He’s like Sheree, who has been trying to get a divorce for years, but she’s dating so it’s that kind of thing.

ESSENCE.COM: Are you guys still going strong?
ZOLCIAK: No, it’s officially over. I called off my engagement and I’m officially single. People have speculated that it’s this Lee guy (Lee Najjar) to Quincy Jones to David Foster to Dallas Austin. It’s just unbelievable. Big Poppa has been my best friend for three years and I think he’s a great person but I need to go find Kim and what makes Kim happy and chase my dreams. I want someone who is supportive of me and my dreams and not add tension to my life. I want to focus on my children, finish my album and not worry about what makes everyone else happy.

ESSENCE.COM: What projects do you have coming up after the show?
ZOLCIAK: I’m in talks to be on the cover of Playboy and possibly on the cover of Maxim. I’m very excited. A lot of people were like I wish you would do Playboy so I’m working on that. I didn’t want to be just a centerfold girl. I wanted to be the cover!

ESSENCE.COM: You once said that you see yourself as a Black girl in a White girl’s body. What makes you feel like you identify with Black women?
ZOLCIAK: I had entirely too much wine that day in my interview. I just don’t see color and I never have because it doesn’t matter to me. People always say, “You sure your dad’s not Black?”- because I got a pretty round booty. Other than that, 50 percent of my girlfriends are Black. It’s not that I can relate to one more than the other. That’s just my life and that’s who I am surrounded by mostly and it works for me.

Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas sat down with Essence magazine recently to discuss TLC being the best selling female group, Usher and wife Tameka, being called a home-wrecker, in Lisa's death, and what she currently working on. Here are some excerpts from the interview.

ESSENCE.COM: You're part of the best-selling female girl group of all time, and now you've entered the worlds of accessories and skincare.

CHILLI THOMAS: Thank you for acknowledging that because everyone always credits Destiny's Child as the biggest-selling female group, but it's just not true. You can't count album sales for each solo project collectively and come up with numbers. I love Destiny's Child, but thank you.....

ESSENCE.COM: It's been six years since we lost Left Eye. How are you and her family coping with her death?

CHILLI: I see her family every now and then. I still have my moments and probably always will. There's not a day that goes by that she doesn't cross my mind. When I do some interviews, I get so upset when people refer to me as "the former member of TLC." I am always and still am a part of TLC. We are forever no matter what. As long as T-Boz and I are living, we are keeping Left Eye's memory alive....

ESSENCE.COM: Throughout the blogosphere, folks speculated about whether you, Usher and Tameka communicate. Do you?

CHILLI: I don't have any contact with her. I have not spoken to her in years. There's no relationship at all between us. I haven't spoken to Usher, either. When people ask whether or not I think she is the reason we broke up, I have no clue what Usher was doing outside of our relationship. When we broke up, it was because it wasn't working out....

ESSENCE.COM: There were rumors that you were a home wrecker and dating CNN's T.J. Holmes while he was married. Is that true?

CHILLI: No, let's clear this up right now. T.J. Holmes was divorced and had been divorced. It wasn't a situation where he was going through a divorce and still married. I would never date a man that is legally separated or tied to another woman....

5th Annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball

Celebs gathered for a worthy cause at the Hammerstein Ballroom to celebrate the fifth annual Keep A Child Alive Ball Ball, last night in New York City. The ceremony was hosted by Alicia Keys and attended by A-listers including Tyra Banks, Justin Timberlake, Queen Latifah, Iman and many others.

A Different Keyshia

Keyshia's back! With the long awaited premiere of her reality show, 'The Way It Is' and her third album 'A Different Me'; release date December 16th. The album cover made its debut yesterday via Rap Up. It's a very creative cover at that, much thought went into this and I love it! Keyshia's single "Playa Cardz Right" is already circulating on the radio while her reality show made its debut this week. Ms. Cole is definitely giving us a different side of her and we like it.
